  • I am also Billy's mom! My son's name is Billy - one thing though is I haven't been as sensible as this Billy's mom. It took me ages to cut my contract and go onto Tracfone prepaid. I was always under the impression that prepaid would be inferior service - how wrong I was! I have taken advantage of the double minutes for life card and everytime that I buy my minutes I feel like it is christmas all over again! If I buy 60minutes then I actually get 120, what a gift!

  • @MrDunnbaby You claim to be "Billy's mom" yet you use the name MRDunnbaby. OOPS! I checked your uploads and discovered you uploaded Straight Talk videos which is a division of Tracfone. BTW, how much does Tracfone pay you to write positive comments?

  • It's Zondra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I totally agree 'tomspeckle' - i think it is totally ridiculous to go for a binding contract these days when there are deals like this out there that you can get and if you aren't happy then you simply stop paying and drop it and you don't have to pay any ridiculous cancellation fees. Tracfone jst comes with endless savings, foe starters - at KMart you can buy a phone for less than $10 which is totally unbelieveable. Double minutes for life is another huge bonus as well!

  • The idea of not having to sign a binding contract realy is one of the main drawcards about Tracfone for me. If you're not happy then that's it and you can change - no cancellation charges etc. Double minutes is also such a deal, that's 50% off! I love that Tracfone are always offering new customer incentives, there's always something on the boil that benefits you in some wayn makes you feel like they really have your best interests at heart and calue their customers.

  • I did not realise that you could get web access on a Tracfone. Coupled with their low cost and nationwide coverage, this is a pretty good deal. The fact that there is no contract means that you have just about zero risk when you buy a Tracfone.

  • Great commercial. I think ive seen this on tv before. and I have to say, for a $10 phone it seems like a really decent buy. I have a more expensive (if that's possible) TracFone, but something simple and basic like this might be great for my grandmother. Single minutes aircards also are a great idea if you need a back-up or in-between phones - I use them on vacation every year.

  • Actually I heard that Tracfone have a scheme that they are running in New York where kids in schools get phones and airtime as a reward for getting good grades. This is a great idea and a social service. Kids will really react to this offer.

  • @matos4508 Wow, that's such a cool idea! And I love that the actual phones are so cheap. I just bought my younger cousins Samsung T105G's. The were like 9 dollars each! It's awesome :)

  • Our kids got Tracfones for Christmas with the double minutes for life card as they now get an airtime allowance and their budgets will greatly benefit from the 50% discount on their airtime which is what the double minutes amounts to. I got them qwerty sliders which are great for texting and the coverage and reception are great!

  • @reddalia1 I also got my kids tracfones for christmas and they are loving them. I'm pretty happy and a bit jealous too, happy that they don't cost me much at all and jealous of the amazing service the kids are getting- way better than the pathetic coverage I get..

  • @reddalia1 Yeah I actually use Tracfone as an incentive system. If they do well on their report cards then I hook them up with some extra airtime and minutes. Since they all got the double minutes card for christmas, this incentive system is quite cheap for me.

  • i wonder if billys mom is on the family plan, which is for sure the best plan any provider could come up with.i am on this plan, together with my husband and 2 kids and we save huge ever since we did the switch from contract.we pay $28 for the 4 of us,my husband getting 50 min and the rest of us have 40 minutes a month to use.i am finally in control of the kids and my own cellphone spendings, no more nasty surprises at month end.and if any of us really needs more airtime it's easy enough to top up

  • yep, with tracfone i have ease of mind aswell, no more worries about huge bills at month end for me. my mom does not need to worry, she no longer pays my bills. i am a student and no have to make do with the allowance my parents give me. i pay $29.99 a month with tracfone, got a nice phone to go with the plan, a nokia that allows me to receive free incoming texts. i am doing well on my new phonebudget, and will never go back to contract. just too expensive

  • If you just go to TracFone's website and click on the "Buy Phones" link, you'll find that they have some great offers lined up for people buying phones or phone bundles. And these offers include free shipping and a $10 gift card. What do the rest of you think?

  • Agreed with mnrdmnrd..contracts are such a waste. I love my basic TracFone....gives me just enough minutes monthly at a price that is affordable. I'm actually saving quite a bit from the swich am enjoying spending the money elsewhere!

  • Contracts are extremely annoying. I think everyone has experienced this. I always wonder about the actors in these commercials, but I really do use Tracfone. You get exactly what you pay for. Everything is straightforward and you're always in control. No contracts or bills makes life really simple for the professional on the go. Truly a great idea and service.

  • MUST SAY tracfone has been such a god idea for me. With the great prices it's been a VERY good deal for me. I'm spending fourty bucks less a month and I don't have to worry about outrageous fees if I go over my minutes. Net result -- decent phone, decent service, savings of about $500 per year.

  • I like that they have a family value plan...it really is phenomenal value for money @ $10 for 1st phone (50mins) and $6 (40mins) for each phone after that. For $30 our whole family is connected and with the current financial situation, that really counts for something.

  • Really cute vid. My daughter, husband and I were all on contract and moved to Tracfone, besides the great savings we received my daughter learnt how to budget her talk time which has made me extremely proud of her.

  • @88tori1 That's a really good point about the kids. Even if you're not ready to switch to prepaid and your kid needs a phone this is the way to do it. They have Tracfone bundles as cheap as $8 and plans as low as $7. And, the fact that you don't need a contract to do it, takes a lot of stress off. To them, it may not seem like a lot of air time to use, but to parents, it means savings. Like you point out, they'll learn very quickly how to control and budget their time.

  • haha this video is hysterical. My next door neighbors remind of this video. My neighor loves her tracfone and really should be in the next commercial. Just like my neighbor I too have a tracfone and really can really appreciate videos like this one. Tracfone is a great deal.

  • TracFone is perfect for my nephew, who's not much of a talker but is super athletic and is always staying after school for practices of all kind of sports. Now, he has a way of reaching his parents or me (his cool aunt) to pick him up whenever he's running late or finishing early without having to bug friends or coaches to borrow their phones!

  • @KarenSimpson11 Hey cool aunt...wait 'till he's got his own car and you need to track him down! We got our kids Tracfones so they can call in and tell us where they are and what time they'll be home so we don't worry and they're pretty good about it (or no airtime!). With Tracfone's free incoming texts and double minutes the kids cell phone costs don't break the bank and we're all happy!

    '

  • @KarenSimpson11 You do win the cool aunt award! There's nothing worse than being stuck somewhere with no access to a phone. These Tracfones would be great to have for emergencies as well. You know that you'll have the safety and convenience of reliable cell service when you need it. You can find these phones everywhere these days, Kmart, Walmart, Radio Shack, Family Dollar, just to name a few. You can buy airtime cards at some many retail stores it would be impossible to list them all.

  • I've decided to get a few for my nieces this Christmas. I know my sister will appreciate the no contract, no hidden cost, you get what you pay for mentality of tracfone. It's the perfect gift for them b/c they've been clamoring for a cell phone, but they need to learn responsibility first! I think this will be a great start for them, and they'll be able to keep in touch with their uncle!

  • @MelvinAnders Nice thought....of course they will contact you if they're like my kids even if it's a request for more airtime! But you are quite right about responsibility, it does help them to understand the value of money depending on how old they are...nice uncle....nice Tracfone deals especially free incoming texts and double minutes for life!

  • We have 2 Tracfones in our family and have had them for years. We have the plan that adds 50 minutes on the phone every 30 days for around $10 each month. I can even text a little. It's the best plan for us since we don't use our phones that much. It works for us, cheap & easy. I have only good things to say about their customer service. They are extremely polite and very helpful. Every time I've called they have resolved any problem quickly & professionally. I love Tracfone.

  • I think that the best part about these holiday deals is that you can use them for great gifts and stocking stuffers. For example, for a limited time only, you can get 400 minutes with 200 bonus minutes and a full year of service. You can also get the DOuble Minutes for Life card for 20 bucks instead of 50. Do it!

  • Got my kids some Tracfone phones recently, they came up to me and asked me if I could after they saw this commercial. I did a bit of research on my own and found out that it had some pretty good reviews backing it up so I decided to give it a shot, been very reliable thus far.

  • I can't identify the music. I do know that Tracfone is the cheapest phone around, especially for a family plan. I will have to listen to the ad again to get the music

  • lol i only watch this to listen to the backround whistling cuz i dont kno the name..

i remember that song from bf2 sandbox :D

  • She's a good actress. LOL. But if you have a tracefone, it's a good way to save and not get bills, yo! Great value and very solid bars wherever you go.

  • Does anyone know the name of the background song? It's a popular muzak theme

  • Lol. It is a great phone. I'll say this much for only getting my two girls $7 minutes a month. They've started choring at home for money to the point my wife and I are having to make work for them. Hows that for incentive leverage

  • Really is an awesome service tracfone provide... I got my kids a tracfone for $8 each! And they get really great signal on them, better than my coverage with at&t, which gives me great peace of mind knowing I can always get hold of them- especially now that they are back at school...

  • Damn!!!, her thighs.they look so freak'in good!!!!

  • Our family has saved a hek of a lot of money with Tracfones Family value plan because instead of buying a $9.99 voucher for 30 minutes for each child you only have to pay $5.99 / month for 53 minutes for each child. The first phone in the house would have to pay $9.99 / month for 50 minutes. This is an absolute bargain I would recommend all families use. Tracfone also has $9.99 phones which are ideal for kids too.

  • this is racist.

  • This phone looks pretty awesome. As a fellow parent, I get where Billy's mom is coming from. I just recently sent my daughter to a boarding school. This is exactly what I needed to help her keep in touch with her friends. She loves the social aspect, I love the monetary aspect and the network is something we both love.

  • looks like a great deal, i'm gonna go take a look.. also i've heard that tracfone has great coverage, whch is pretty crucial as far as i'm concerned...

  • @LesterBronze

You should go for it. I have a Tracfone as well, but my phone is slightly different than the phone in this video. I have an LG 220C, and it's very wonderful. It has no camera (for me, a camera on a cell phone is not necessary), but the web can be accessed and you can also download graphics and ringtones for the phone. Think of it this way: you won't have any high prices or fees, and no bills ever. Good luck!

  • Billys gettin some ;)

  • PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE NAME OF THE SONG!!!!1

  • Billy's mom seems to be my wife's clone. lol. Tracfone keeps my family in touch as well. we love tracfone just like billy's mom

  • its really great if you have a small time job and are at high school or college and have to pay for stuff your self, they are great, my parents send me minutes and i can buy my own, its the most flexible controllable option on the market.

  • Nation wide coverage with Tracfone is amazing, i always have clear calls and never get a dropped call. They are inexpensive and a great bargain if you are money conscious such as myself.

  • @Briony79

Exactly. With no contracts, bills, activation fees or cancellation fees, TracFone is the way to go. Plus, you can have as many minutes as you wish on your phone, regardless of whether you talk a little or a lot.

  • Funny ad and a great service. Tracfone has saved me a lot of money since switching over from my old contract. I dont have any kids, but if I did they'd all start with Tracfone cellphones, keeping the cost down while having all the benefits of being connected.

  • Peace of mind is the exact reason I gave both my kids cell phones this summer. They already have a full schedule and the summer has just begun. Thanks to the super affordable Tracfone family plan that I'm able to stay connected with everyone for under $30 a month! So, summer's off to a good start. But, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

  • I love Tracfone as the reception is always great and its fantastic to be nation wide.

Not only are the phones well priced at $10 but they are nice phones as well.

  • Easy sign up and reliable service got me to sign up for tracfone. Especially with summer here, a prepaid phone can help families keep in touch. I've found coverage to be extensive and renewal of minutes simple. I can't say I won't need to buy more minutes frequently but for the small to average talker tracfone provides a useful service.

  • @jonasdrewable

I agree. TracFone has millions of satisfied customers who are tired of contracts or don't want to deal with contracts when getting a first cell phone. Who needs contracts anyway?? Contracts are so expensive and can eat away someone's money, depending on the service provider and what features their phones have. With TracFone, you won't have any worries at all.
