In this way it would be wrong to use the word "cure".The way Dr. Newport descries the effect coconut oil has it seems it work (albeit much more effectively) than other drugs already available such as mementine by just slowing down the dementia process.

Edit: Opps, just watched second half of this video segment!! Very interesting...

Dr. Newport doesn't address the important questions: does improvement continue with continued use? What happens at higher dosages? RCTs need to be done to answer these. Also, coconut oil may help the damaged brain in its use of fuel but I assume it doesn't have any healing effect on the actual damage that is occuring in AD and other dementias/organic brain disorders.
