Will never forget the morning a big covey led my dog and me on a hell-for-leather chase up the steep face of the caprock, only to reverse field once they reached the top and fly hundreds of yards back down to the bottom. I got off only one shot during the whole chase, and was wheezing like a beached whale. Good times!!!
