I don't really remember hearing this song in the 80's which is really strange.I remember all the other stuff like Duran Duran , etc...,etc..., but I don't recall hearing this one. One Night several months ago I was listening to Coast to Coast and they played this song and it was like what did I just hear. I quickly taped part of it on cassette tape. I have a vacum tube stereo and equalizer. YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE HOW WONDEFUL THIS SONG SOUNDS LOUD WITH BASS CRANKED.IT MAKES ME LOOPY EVERYTIME!

Yeah its better known as "finger control" - it actually demands a very loose/relaxed grip, with a firm fulcrum placement and then you use your middle,ring and pinky to 'bounce' the stick of the cymbal or drum. There's a bit of wrist involved, but its pretty much the same as when you play a singel stroke roll, but just using one hand.
