@cfezuwm not exactly my friend...if you knew anything about cars you would know that back in the 70s NASCAR was running cars with 1200 horsepower, also F1 cars had so much power in the early 80s that they could not determine the power output because facilities like BMW and Honda didn't have dynos that went up that high. So the real reason was because of safety. However, some of today P1 cars are running real close to 1000hp, the only diference is that they have endless money for research :)
