@BrianAStier I totally agree with u. We can make some community to forward & share the experiences we have. This was one of my most unlucky moment in my life.
I can start to create a group in facebook to gather this community .
@RoccoBoracco Well I just started the website tonight, but I actually think it's coming along quite nicely. I am looking for moderators and what not and will need help posting news. If you would like to help out, join the site and we'll go from there. I have at least nine more weeks until I can even think about putting weight on my leg so I have plenty of time to work on things. I am also on facebook. Join the site though, and we will go from there.
After 19 months I played my first soccer match. I am very happy and glad :)
But dont worry because people can begin to play soccer again after this injury much earlier. Normally 9 months or something. .I think I was a little hypochondriac :))
It is was worst pain in my life. And that was also very strange sound. PAATT :)Even our goalkeeper heart that :)
I had surgery about 2 hours or something in military hospital. It was not bad and on time. I had plaster for first 41 days. I started little exercises after my plaster had been got off. It was very beneficial for my recovering period. I suggest everyone. Later I had orthopedic boot for 50 days. After that I was able to run but very carefully sure. First 6 motnhs is critical...
Wow, my heart goes out to all those who've ruptured theirs. I'm currently suffering from achilles tendonitis and it hurts like hell; especially when the sides are pressed. :(
I ruptured mine in early October of 2005....surgery six days later, hard cast for a month, walking boot for another month, and I was back running jogging in early February of 2006. I've been back running run 5-8 miles five times per week ever since and I have no stiffness, pain, or any other after effects. The horror stories about this injury are worse than the injury itself.
this is not a calf muscle =) This is the strongest tendon of our body & if u ruptured , there is no choice without having surgery. If u do not have surgery, u can't walk.
I did it and had surgery by the way. But after now, we ll live with fear about 1 year and its hard to go back to play soccer or basketball unfortunately...

Terrible injury, just got done with surgery last week, wouldn't wish this upon anyone.
Created a little blog and community area for people if they want to write about their injury experience. I have nothing to do but lay here lol.
