I went on multiplayer last night. Instead of 7 or so options for game modes there were only 3. All of the players above level 60 were on one team while everyone on my team was under level 30 (I'm level 28). I had the highest score on my 1st team that night with 7 kills , 15 deaths. The same scenario kept happening in different lobby's, only I wasn't getting the highest score on my team. I never had this problem on Halo 2.

Well I liked the competitive online for R2, it was real hecktic fun espically the Skirmish mode!
I'm less than impressed with R3 multiplayer and the campaign tbh, they scaled down the competitive to 8 vs. 8, to make it less hecktic, why then did they scale down the maps soooo much!? It's just as hecktic as before! And NOT fun, as the sheilds are WAYYYY over powered and the team balancing is laughable.

I played the demo to this and was impressed. With the CoD-ified multiplayer (along with just about every FPS out there), I was expecting a linear, mega scripted campaign as well. But I want to be sure the whole game is like that, and not just the demo.

I really hate reviews like that , why are they comparing resistance ps3 exclusive to gears, xbox exclusive. They are not even direct competition. I just think that they need to compare it to other games on ps3 rather than xbox exclusive. It's not like everybody has both consoles.
That's the big problem with XPlay They don't normally have the balls to bring up problems with AAA games unless it's unavoidable, and they tend to focus not on what games had more effort put into them and were better designed but what were more flashy, even if the flash is meant to distract from creative bankruptcy, as seen in their Gears 3 review.
@ZaneOneTwo Well I like the graphics. I love the guns, and I love the tense atmosphere the resistance series creates as you play through the single player. But most of all, I adore how easy the chimera are to gain an irrational hatred for.
Sure the multiplayer won't turn many heads but it's still fun to play, and the gun mods are a nice addition.
I love this game and the rest of the Resistance series. And nothing you can say will change that.

Game could have been way better. Story wise at least. The story was fucking shit compared to the other resistances. @LoonaticoNC I own both systems and I think PS3 has nice variety like Uncharted 1 & 2, Killzone 3, Resistance 1 2 & 3, LittleBigPlanet 2, God of war, and more. While Xbox has Gears of war and better support for Call of duty.
Resistance 3 was amazing, but I felt that the ending feeled rushed. It was a short cutscene ending and I felt like it was truely over. I hope Insomniac can pull through at least 1 more ps3 game if not more. Resistance has a starwars like universe that could go on and on.

Please kill this series. Bought the game and returned it the next day. Shit graphics, shit weapons, useless MP, so many problems with this game. Save your money. Don't believe this or anybody else says this game is straight shit!

@RamenAwesomeNoodles It's not over, there making resistance for the psp vita this year, and there are other chimera planets, and we have yet to encounter cloven, so you have nothing to worry about.

It had 30 v30 Multiplayer, no lag whatsoever and a 8 player coop gamemode. This R3 Multiplayer is not worth shit and thats a fact.

Also, have any of you heard of this "IGN"? They really, really love Call of Duty, to the point that they will directly compare any first-person shooter to Call of Duty and talk about how it's not as good or is just copying (compare to this review, wherein X-Play only gave Call of Duty a passing mention without directly comparing Resistance 3 to Call of Duty).

Love how NO1 on that show can ever leave CoD or Halo outa the picture. Resistance is a solid, well made game that I enjoy and the final chapter is epic. Love the game, wouldn't trade it for anything. As for the online pass for multi-player, its actually worth it in my book. I bought the game Brand new but I have a ton of fun with the multi-player and would pay a 1 TIME FEE, over maybe..... a monthly fee. But thats just me.

@viltry11 No, coporate fuckers like gamestop, gamestation, GAME etc. are greedy by making a killing on used game sales, buying off consumers for small change then reselling for a ridiculous profit. The consumer market is also greedy to a large extent, not willing to support developers by buying used titles, all the profit going to these companies. Many people simply wait until their favoured AAA title is on the used rack to buy, saving most of £20. This is sony's answer to the problem.

not a cod fanboy ( even tho i do enjoy it) but its the best selling game series ever, millions and millions of copies sold and millions of online players and millions of dollars raked in cant lie.
it may seem liked recycled stuff ( which i agree it kinda is after mw2,) the numbers pretty much made it king.
i can only imagine how much mw3 is gonna sell ha.
but this game is a fun alternative ^.^

@DannyOMFGEE So sales = quality? I respectfully disagree. To me quality is the king of games. Not sales. No doubt that MW3 will smash sales records, as will the nextCOD. But many people see that COD is the greatest game because it's the only game that they haveand they back that up with the good sales.So yes to most gamers COD is the king of games but those of us who look deeper into games, and try different things and base our opinions on more than just #s, I think have more fun with our games.

Game could have been way better. Story wise at least. The story was fucking shit compared to the other resistances. Im mean, hte progression was pretty good, but the story sucks cock compared to resistance 2. It goes from a war to a survival game, and i don't think that's a good transition since resistance 2 was fucking good.

hmm well i actually enjoy resistance 2s multiplayer, jut cause its so chaotic XD i dont even care how many times i die its just so fun! which mean i will probably love resistance 3s multi. however i am not just about that i really enjoy a good story/ campaign single player or co op experience. definetly gonna have to get this one.

Resistance 3 was amazing, but I felt that the ending feeled rushed. It was a short cutscene ending and I felt like it was truely over. I hope Insomniac can pull through at least 1 more ps3 game if not more. Resistance has a starwars like universe that could go on and on.
