Saw the fight a 2nd time. Looking back at it again I would think the judges favored the agressor than Paulie who was on his bike most of the fight not going toe to toe with Diaz. But that was his strategy. I think the cards were stacked against him. If he would've fought that fight in a neutral state maybe he would have one. But I think a draw would have been fair. During the end of the JMM fight, Marquez had Diaz figured out to the point that it looked like he was holding pads for him or something. Though there's no shame to losing to JMM, the only guy out the in my opinion with more ring smarts than JMM is Bernard Hopkins.
Both fighters aren't the hardest of hitters, but this will be a good fight nonetheless.
I feel Paulie has a chance. Here's why:
Paulie's basically got one good, but it's a good one - a snapping jab. If he can snap that jab and use his vastly superior footwork to remain on the outside, he can avoid Diaz's rushes. Diaz works best when he's on the inside. Paulie will take a 12 round decision.
I disagree. He will use his footwork and his superb jab to keep Diaz away. If Diaz does come up close, Paulie will probably use that footwork to move out of harm's way and continue to score point off his jab since his right hand is pretty much non-existent. Diaz will be doing a pretty good amount of chasing. But you bring up good points, too.
Diaz definitely wasted alot of punches in the fight with Marquez. True, Diaz might need someone to stand in front of him, but that is what the body shots are for...to slow a moving target down. People said Freitas would beat him for that same reason, only Freitas had good power.

Yeah, well you know Juan doesn't waste time. He's ready to fight all guns blazing as soon as the first bell rings. Marquez had a hungry opponent in front of him who was throwing alot of punches, so Marquez's output had to increase more than normal just to keep Diaz off of him. Diaz could have fought that fight a little better, but it was still highly competitive and very entertaining. Malignaggi isn't the fighter JMM is, but his style is different and that could make this a tough fight.

Saw the fight a 2nd time. Looking back at it again I would think the judges favored the agressor than Paulie who was on his bike most of the fight not going toe to toe with Diaz. But that was his strategy. I think the cards were stacked against him. If he would've fought that fight in a neutral state maybe he would have one. But I think a draw would have been fair. Diaz didn't look as impressive as paulie. Paulie had more skill through out. Feel bad for Paulie. But what could he do?

FYI, one of the judges scored the first round 10-7 where it was supposed to be 10-6 because of the 3 knock downs. He even admit that it was a mistake. Whine Manuel Marquez could not get over it. That judging score crap is a rumor. Like I said before, if it was real they would of changed the score minutes after the fight ended. And example of a judge making a mistake in scoring was the Winky Wright vs. Harry Simon fight. You mean to tell me that they would change the score for them but not for Pac Marq 1? Juan Diaz should win. Good style matchup. Reminds me a little bit of Robinson vs Lamotta. Except Robinson had knockout power and from what I've seen Mal is just quick and slick with no power. After the heart he showed against Marquez, Diaz should be able to take anything Mal has to offer. Diaz gets a late stoppage in my humble opinion. Mal doesn't really ever get knocked out but his trainers have stopped several of his fights to save him.

Nice video. Juan Diaz is not only a good fighter but an excellent person for people to look up to as well. You are really lucky to be able to know someone with as much work ethic and dedication as Diaz.
During the end of the JMM fight, Marquez had Diaz figured out to the point that it looked like he was holding pads for him or something. Though there's no shame to losing to JMM, the only guy out the in my opinion with more ring smarts than JMM is Bernard Hopkins.

Both fighters aren't the hardest of hitters, but this will be a good fight nonetheless.
I feel Paulie has a chance. Here's why:
Paulie's basically got one good, but it's a good one - a snapping jab. If he can snap that jab and use his vastly superior footwork to remain on the outside, he can avoid Diaz's rushes. Diaz works best when he's on the inside. Paulie will take a 12 round decision.

I disagree. He will use his footwork and his superb jab to keep Diaz away. If Diaz does come up close, Paulie will probably use that footwork to move out of harm's way and continue to score point off his jab since his right hand is pretty much non-existent. Also... didnt JMM throw mor epunches vs. Juan in like 6 rounds than he did in the enitre fight against Pacquiao? No way I see him losing this fight.

Yeah, well you know Juan doesn't waste time. He's ready to fight all guns blazing as soon as the first bell rings. Marquez had a hungry opponent in front of him who was throwing alot of punches, so Marquez's output had to increase more than normal just to keep Diaz off of him. Diaz could have fought that fight a little better, but it was still highly competitive and very entertaining. Malignaggi isn't the fighter JMM is, but his style is different and that could make this a tough fight.

The Juan Diaz that faught JMM a few months back will overwhelm the Magic Man I believe. Look at Marquez' face after the fight... I think he had him in big trouble. I got Juan winning via 12 round decision or late corner/ref stoppage

hey bro good video you reminded me of the main event times oh yeah those were some fight cards thru showtime the nbc series friday night fights soloboxeo and hbo had that pack of diaz bojado juarez and cintron and juan was the underdog to suceed boy how we were fooled by the cover of the book teaches me a lesson to start reading these books and study these prospects harder but in the end i think rinnie shields has something to do with juans sucess hes kept his life straight

Strange how in his prime Paulie has emulated the later period of Camacho (after Camacho's prime when he didn't really accomplish much). Juan is a better boxer than Ricky, so I'm expecting a beatdown, and more excuses from the Magic Man.
