  • @petujaymz Really, how old are you?

  • @Caspar97

    how old's ur face

    do one bich

  • @petujaymz Really, I'm pretty sure you're a young, small minded idiot who's desperate for attention, you're raging because you had a bad day and got beaten up or something, and it's "Bitch" not "Bich"

  • @Caspar97

    yeah...

    gay bastard

    go wank ur dad off

  • i seen this vid months ago!

  • Can we please stop naming spaceships "Enterprise'??? Getting a lil repetitive.

  • yo dawg i heard you like planes so i put planes on yo plane so u can fly while u fly

  • Amazing. Such a grand achievement. A new era for the human race.

  • @plarkmoby no u

  • @petujaymz I'm sorry?

  • i thouth that the middle plaine would

fly of and go over 10000 MPH

  • in the begginging scenes of fightclub they talk about corperations being the next big venture capitalists. like planet starbucks for example... this is coming to fruition as we speak with corperations now making more then some countries.. wal-mart now makes more then some 3rd world nations..

  • Cool but how much tax will you be paying for your 'carbon footprint' on this baby?!

  • what does VSS stand for?

  • @Kishgofu Virgin Still Sucks

  • has to be one of the ugliest things i've ever seen.

  • I dont understand this? Someone please explain :)

  • I approve of their name

  • congrats! In 20 years we will have SUPER fast intercontinental flights thanks to you guys!... Funny how one man's visions can do stuff NASA seems not to be able to do..

  • She's beautiful!

  • Can you spell sexy?

  • Dear All,

I have soem questions about psychology:

    (1) why do we love flying?

    (2) Why do we enjoy space tarvel/

    (3) Why do Sir Richard Bandson want to develop his own private "NASA" to explore the space?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • That's capitalism for ya!! Only in this great country!!

  • @mackjsm Actually, Branson is from Britain and still resides there. And Virgin is an international brand. So even if the Galactic program flies out of New Mexico - this is not an american franchise. Frankly, I'm getting fed up with americans thinking everything great is their doing. In many aspects, its just the opposite.

  • @Dokujin Chill out man! Never said it was an American thing.. Last time I checked England was a capitalist country.. Sorry that you are getting fed up with people doing great things in my country.

  • @Dokujin Check your facts. Scaled Composites (the company the BUILDS WK2 and SS2) is an American company. Say what you want about us in general, but in the case of SpaceShipOne and Two, Americans designed, engineered, and built them from the ground up.

  • @mackjsm Sir Richard Branson is british just so you know

  • I love airplanes!

  • Well done Virgin Galactic!

  • lmao hey dumbasses this isnt funded by nasa, its funded by vergin

  • I 'm gonne shoot a 5 minute pornvideo in space soon : )

  • virgins

  • Awesome! Can't wait to take my family to space.

  • "Take us out Mr. Branson"

  • 梦想有朝一日...

    离开地球.

  • I suppose, once the passenger flights getstarted, all the other airlines will want to jump on the suborbital flight bandwagon.

  • it would be cool to fly with it

  • Amazing

  • Still nothing beats a NASA space shuttle in beauty of flight.

  • @MA3LK

Oh please. that thing is a load of shit. It cost way to much money. It's technology is way out of date and we simply do not need it anymore. NASA is quite possibly the most over spending program in the entire US. Just one space shuttle launch is an incredible waste of resources. It can be done for much much cheaper, probably 1/10th of what NASA is currently spending, but nobody wants to face that fact. Especially the old bastards running NASA.

  • Are you kidding? NASA receives $18 billion/year. Not even 1% of the government budget. The Wars literally cost more in a couple of weeks than NASA spends in an entire friggin year. Not to mention the Wars, corporate welfare, bailouts, etc. have benefited no one but the very rich.

I love the Virgin Galactic and NASA. To call either of them "outdated" is ignorance IMO.I agree the Shuttle needs to retire but you have to admit it is orbital.

  • $18 billion/year is chump change compared to most other government spending. Especially for an institution with up to 700% ROI.

    "you NASA supporters"

I'm a supporter of NASA and private space venture. I like private space venture too but don't expect for them to go beyond LEO any time soon. No money in doing so and the costs would be prohibitive.

I don't see why it's an either/or thing with extremist types like yourself. But that's for small-minded people.

  • @MA3LK

"Still nothing beats a NASA space shuttle in beauty of flight."

I agree somewhat in that it does not look dangly at a distance and its size is impressive. But economically, these are at the cost of making it extremely impractical. While aerodynamic shape is usually nice, a flying "boat" would look even better, but not aerodynamic. If "vimanas" could be created, they could be the most beautiful flying things ever (other than birds), but we don't have the technology to make those yet.

  • Sorry to hear that moments in history bore you.

  • Looks like if an engine goes out, they would have a BIG asymmetric thrust problem.

  • @f38stingray Haha yeah, although WK2 has already gone through comprehensive testing for this scenario, of course. In fact, I think they even tested flight on just one engine... probably.

I can't get over how close the future seems - space tourism, for crying out loud! It's unbelievable.

  • ya its unbelievable how far we come form simple shuttle's to complex now this soon maybe space elevator may come true in the near future.

  • @TheKrimzonGuard Yup :D Soon other airlines will make their own ships and cheaper! So Im gonna wait Cause I know for sure 200.000 dollars is for like rich people! And ALOT Of people don't have that kind of money. When a flight is 5,000 dollars then yea its good enough! I bet in 50 years for sure almost everyone will be able to afford it! Its amazing isn't it! I am excited and Am going for sure! but they should make the flight time longer as well! Cause 200,000 dollars for 7 minutes is not enough

  • @Edsan91 here comes EasyRocket and RyanSpace, flights to space for $2 return!

  • @soulsanctuarymusic1 what? 2$ to go to space? wtf?

  • @Edsan91 i was making a joke about you remark on the prices dropping when other companies start doing it, companies like EasyJet do flights for like $1-2 was just thinking if they launched their own space companies.... lol

  • @soulsanctuarymusic1 Damit >:( i actually searched on google and it said "How to make your own space rocket for $2" LOL damn u!!!!!!!!!!!! In time I'll travel to space :D

  • The first time a Virgin has ever made it into space!

    Momentus!

  • Wake up, NASA! Private enterprise is going to make you look like a bunch of dopes that spend money like drunken sailors.

  • virgin galactic should make its first trip to the moon or mars

  • This video sucks they didnt show alot of things like the pilot boarding/exiting the craft. I want to see how its done. Are there 3 pilots? 1 main pilot and 2 co-pilots. SUCKS!

  • OMG! did it go in to space, Wow! Virgin, well done,

  • they just wanted to see how it handeled the laod of SS2, soon very soon they will load it with fuel

  • @signedadam

It didn't go into space yet. It was a captive carry flight, meaning that they were just testing to make sure that the rocket would be save to be carried on the airplane. Looks promising, though.

  • @f38stingray - Ooh, Well,

  • great job one step closer to civi space travel

  • Still to expensive for me but its at least an amount of money that I could feasibly get a hold of..... Unlike the billions it takes the government.

  • These guys are really forward thinking!

  • It's great to see this Virgin Galactic project going so far and doing so well ! I remember seeing a full size model of the spacecraft at an exhibition at the Jacob Javits Center back in October 2006. Sir Richard Branson and Buzz Aldrin were there, too !

To see the VSS Enterprise in "captive carry" flight on this video was awesome ! Good Luck and GodSpeed !

  • MAGNIFIQUE!!!! (L)

  • Sir Richard and Team - Excellent job! History in the making, and looking forward to the completed test flight!!!

  • Beautiful! NASA has some serious competition, which is good for the future of manned space flight!

  • Well done Virgin Galactic! Glad to see the official test programme finally under way. It'll be a good few years before the likes of me can afford a trip on one of these things, but one day I'll be up there!

Well done and good luck showing NASA and the ESA how it's done :D

  • Suborbital space will start in a year to be a new travel route. Spaceship 3 which is now being developed for Virgin Galactic will be a point to point suborbital vehicle taking only several hours to fly internationally along suborbital routes. The future is here now.

  • @beatlefriend Trans-continential sub orbital commerical flights would be really cool. I'm betting pretty intense flight though. Not for the qweezy types. That will cause a bit of an upgrade for ATC!

  • The look on the test pilot's face at around 2:27 when he was asked "how did it go?" says just about everything you need to know. It's looking more and more likely that around 18 months from now you'll be able to simply fire up your web browser and buy a ticket to outer space and back.

Next up, tickets to low earth orbit with SpaceX and Orbital Sciences. 2015? 2016? Fingers crossed.

    Dear engineers,

    Please continue being awesome.

    Sincerely,

    Everone

  • U R the real heroes, guys! Good luck!

  • Congratulations on your successful first flight. The eagle has landed!

  • Forget the Airbus A380 A400m and Boeing 787 this is the Aircraft you want to be in.

  • Looked real smooth

  • Finally, some test footage. I was getting tired of watching the same party over and over again.

  • Great, would love to do a music performance space!

  • Brilliant! So cool you guys pulled it off, keep it up! Ill sure fly one day on one of these things!

  • This is tremendous!! Congrats to Virgin Space!

  • beautiful

    :)

  • So where's the pilot? Left or Right? or both sides? Most be weird not to be in the middle..

  • I think one side has a pilot, the other side is for a pilot trainee to observe.

  • @Antenox The cockpit is in the right-hand fuselage, for both the pilot and co-pilot. As far as I know, nothing much goes on in the left-hand fuselage. Last year, the "windows" on the left fuselage were just black vinyl stickers. I don't know if that's still true. I think one idea for the future is to carry passengers there, so they can watch the launch from up close.

    (Not official info)

  • the right side is used for an album cover

  • I hope one day I get to do it....

  • Me too

  • Anyone bought their tickets to space?

  • Awesome...good luck Richard!

  • That thing looks so cool much better then the first.

  • Great job guys. :) One day I hope I can afford a ride.

  • Nice!
