Being "stiff" was just part of the business those days. Remember the 92 Summerslam match between The British Bull Dog and Bret Hart? Those two couldn't be closer but you couldn't tell during the match. In today's wrestling they prefer the wrestlers to model themselves more after someone like HHH, who is so smooth in the ring he seems to glide. I prefer this type to be honest. Which is why Benoit v Guerrero matches were so entertaining. Throwbacks to the late 80s early 90s.
back then the wwf psycology was far better then today's, wwe wrestling psycology.
the fueds were far better back then as charactor development.
back then wwf had 4 ppv's per/yr so, the angles had plenty of time to build heat b4 the ppv.
today wwe has a ppv every month which leads to no solid fueds. therefor the the tag belts dont mean shyt, nor does the i.c belt mean shyt today. actually none of the belts mean shyt today.
@Edgehead10075 Yeah, of course. I believe Rude and Fernandez were tag champs together around 1986. I even think that when he signed his contract with WWF in 1987, he still was tag champion.
Paul Roma was certainly athletic, but I think the wrong one of these guys got to be a Horseman. Rick Rude deserved to be a 4 Horseman much more then Roma ever did.
@romans52345 The specific thing I'd heard about Roma was him getting fired from WCW after "roughing up" Alex Wright at Super Brawl. I watched that match, but didn't see anything too blatant.
lord alfred was a joke. rick rude was a baller. Rude Awakening is one of the best finishers ever. Way better than Hogan's leg drop or Warriors "splash", i use the term lightly.
Roma got destroyed!!!!!

nice to see Rude going to town

Roma was a glorified jobber, and was a known prick. I'm sure Rick was a little stiff on purpose.

just think of rude's sweat as the sizzle of the steak.

Paul Roma isn't a jobber, especially with entrance music and a ring entrance AFTER Rude.

Rick Rude looks like he's a menopausal old crazy lady in this vid.

Roma looks amazing in this match. His ass is a work of art. Really enjoyed seeing him getting punished and tossed around like a rag doll.

Of course 2:02 is the most watch part of the video because you're all fucking gay faggots.

When was Rude a tag champ? He was U.S. Champ and "WCW International" World Champion.

@Edgehead10075 I meant Superstars

@Edgehead10075 Rude is a former NWA World Tag Team Champion with Manny Fernandez.

Does anyone have the match, where Don Morrocco ate a meatball sub while he wrestled?

Roma was huge and massive. Always wondered if he competed in bodybuilding in his earlier carreer.....

Ravishing Rick Rude was by far a better heel than Ted Dibease and a much better wrestler than Sgt. Slaughter.

@Lfdjake91 why does Paul Roma get a bad rap?
romans52345 1 year ago
@romans52345 Because he was a pretty boy, but I never thought he was a aweful worker.

@DawgPoundx19 Not really roughing up, Just didn't sell much and made alex look bad. The staff was tired of him by that point and let him go.
