Being "stiff" was just part of the business those days. Remember the 92 Summerslam match between The British Bull Dog and Bret Hart? Those two couldn't be closer but you couldn't tell during the match. In today's wrestling they prefer the wrestlers to model themselves more after someone like HHH, who is so smooth in the ring he seems to glide. I prefer this type to be honest. Which is why Benoit v Guerrero matches were so entertaining. Throwbacks to the late 80s early 90s.
