@74shea I don't teach in person per-se. Hence the vids, to pass on what I know to others who wish to learn. I recently became full time care giver to both my grandchildren and can't get out during the evening to skating events as I used to. Now and again I roll at Hyde Park on a Sunday during the summer (grandkids permitting LOL). But T.47 on a Sunday afternoon 1 - 4, London Bridge is mainly where I do my thang for the time being.
I'm working on it. Gotta get a new p.c. and better camera first. Christmas in the UK is expensive, specially when the grandsons are into PS games and Nintentdo DS. Once the expense of Christmas gifts is outta the way, maybe I can come up with a few hairbrained schemes to acquire what I need to make better vids.
That was cool! (And I thought I was the only person who skated while doing the laundry! LOL!) If I'm ever lucky enough to be in London someday, I'm bringin' my skates, & heading straight for Hyde Park!
I've done it for years - nothing like a good bit of mirror practise whilst you're ironing :) Works for me specially when it's raining. If you get here - Sunday's the best say late afternoons in the Summer people from all over the world come visit us.
Any chance you can build up the muscles again? or does the nerve damage mean that's a no-no? I bet you'd make a helluva breakdancer. My upper body's complete rubbish.
damn .. youre awesome .. my last two comments were from before i watched the whole vid .. im jealous .. i could never do that .. i had an accident that left me neurological deficit mid torso down .. but when i was a teenager i used to skate a lot .. now when i try its like i never even learned in the first place ..
your other video i watched .. a few minutes longer than this one .. where you finish in a gym wearing some brown fuzzys on your ankles .. well .. the video seems to be compressed vertically .. everything is squished .. this ones better .. newayz nice moves ..
A pair of roller skates  On top of those, a pair of ankle puffs (acronym puffas). The preferred method of skate covering by UK regional rink skaters. They act as a means of helping us to keep our feet away from each other when we dance, serve as buffers to prevent us being tripped up or having our wheels clipped in packed rink conditions and prevent us from scratching and ruining our boots when executing ground level dance moves.
ms hotsteppin genieus, were can i cum learn? holla back

They're called puffas - acronym for ankle puffs. Boot covers protect the boots. It's a 90s rink thing over here.
