Funny you mention that because recently I have to mess with the BC switch to get the AM broadcast band to come in. Perhaps a shot of tuner spray is all that's needed.

When I got a good ground attached, it got rid of the hum which you can hear

No. I'm in central NY. I get an oldies station on 740 KHz (CHWO ?) I also picked up CFOS on 560 KHZ. Thanks for watching.
