I don't see 3D button to be a negative thing. It is huge part of the game, and even so it repeats itself so many times in game, they have known how to do it right, that the player doesn't get fet up.
Also the game has many puzzles you can't slove by 3D button. And that is kinda why you stuck so long to them, becasue you think it can be solved by 3D button.
This review describes how I fealt about the game. And what the hell happened to the battle scenes? What about the Badges and Badge points? They took those out too! Also they basically turned this game into a side scroller unlike the older paper marios where you had 2d and 3d scenery. And WHY is bowser helping you, couldn't they have thought of any thing better? I would give this game a 7/10 as well.

I agree with tehnoob, the whole series is good, but I think 7/10 is a fair review. My only beef with it is that it doesn't really last long. I beat the game in a week and never played it again
First, Super Paper Mario is an RPG. Stories are IMPORTANT in an RPG.
Second, the A button does not solve every puzzle. Hell, some people still don't know the fastest way to get the million rubies for the SECOND chapter.
Third, the game have TONS of replay value. Much more so than Super Mario Galaxy. Pit of 100 Trials, Duel of 100, buying Tritron for 999 coins, collecting all of the recipes, maps, and cards, playing the arcade, and getting Piccolo.
I don't think the person who did this reveiw played far enough in the game to really give it a rating, considering none of theese clips are past chapter 1-2 :/

theres nothing wrong with going 3d to solve many puzzles, as theres certain ways and places to use it. the game still has plenty of puzzles and brain teasers. such as lighting candles with bowser's fire, or collecting the right apples to awake princess peach. this game deserves an 8.5/10 (round it to 9 if you choose) 7/10 is more along the lines of Sonic and the Secret Rings.

Why do so many people critize this game so badly? I dont get it they come up with all these reasons and overlook the fact the game is just really fun to play.
This game is awesome. It does have much replay value after you beat "the big guy"... such as the mini games in the Coffee Shop, going back and beating the 100 fighters in Chapter 6, and beating the Flip and Flopside of 100 trials and getting 999 coins so you can buy Tiptron from Francis. Those are all tasks that could easily add 10-20 hours of additional gaming time with SPM.
The game is good and I do have it but the never ending dialogue of crap is annoying. If nintendo would have made the game with a lot less dialogue it would be a lot more fun and I dont think how some people have suggested in other reviews that it should have had audio dialogue, that that would have made the game any better.

The game sucks! Its boring, too easy and the story is not very involving. And if thats not bad enough: Half of the game consists of this so called 'story telling'.
It's no RPG and it's no solid Jump'n'Run because every 3 year old can play it. It's jsut some Frankenstein's monster with some nice gimmicks (like the 3d-Button!111eleven) and cuuute graphics.

Very misleading, gimmicky review. Like most of the footage, the opinions given by the reviewer seem largely based on the first world. At the start the 3D switch is heavily used because it's your only ability. As the game progresses you gain many more abilities and the puzzles become much more than just switching to 3D. The game is far from perfect, but deserves much more credit than this reviewer gives it.

But I hated sitting through the characters talking (they didn't even really talk).
All and all I thought it was decent. I though the 3d button was cool. It makes getting past things a whole lot easier.

The game sucks! Its boring, too easy and the story is not very involving. And if thats not bad enough: Half of the game consists of this so called 'story telling'.
It's no RPG and it's no solid Jump'n'Run because every 3 year old can play it. It's jsut some Frankenstein's monster with some nice gimmicks (like the 3d-Button!111eleven) and cuuute graphics.
...Makes me wanna play Super Mario World again though.

The 3d button is not used for all of them.They are pretty much used for the start.he was in the start of the game.

Did they finally decide to make a Paper Luigi? I really hope Nintendo does release such a game because Luigi needs an RPG. Luigi's mansion was great but Mario is Missing was a terrible game.

Very misleading, gimmicky review. Like most of the footage, the opinions given by the reviewer seem largely based on the first world. At the start the 3D switch is heavily used because it's your only ability. As the game progresses you gain many more abilities and the puzzles become much more than just switching to 3D. The game is far from perfect, but deserves much more credit than this reviewer gives it.

So far in what i've played, there's more to it than simply pressing the 3D-button, but then again, this review only lasted a minute, perhaps they didn't even get that far into the game to really review it.

I like mario. I didn't count the days down till this game came out. If you are like me and you are not in love with mario, you will probably agree entirely with this review. except id prob give it a 6/10 instead of a 7/10.
