I don't think that was a good move for Jake. UFC is a big league. They always had good MW and WW divisions; infact those were UFC's best division even back in Pride days. Pride had better HW division but MW and especially WW, UFC dominated.

Jake could have remained a champ in SF, make some money, and retire. UFC has 5 or 6 guys that are as good as Jake, if not better. Thiago Alves, Fitch, Kos..just to name a few. He did horribly against Kampmann; barely survived.
