But I guess the army remains would be too much even for Liu Kang to handle, since they're supposed to be as strong as they're making us believe.

Know this though, everybody except for Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and Raiden die at the end of deadly alliance, Onaga revives them to use them as his minions. Liu Kang's spirit and Ermac team up to release them from their slavery. So if this was true, I think it'd make little difference.

Actually, Noob Saibot IS a bad guy, since he's no longer the Sub-Zero you find in mk1. Sub Zero is corrupted, yes, but Noob Saibot is a different name, personality, etc. So Sub Zero isn't the bad guy, true, but Noob Saibot is.

He only made an alliance with Shao Khan because he was promised for his deeds his race would be ressurected. All he wants are his people. He isn't really evil.

Most of the endings in Deadly Alliance are made up. Some are real. The real ending of Deadly Alliance that Shang Tsung and Quan Chi defeated Raiden and his friends. Sonya and Johnny Cage were killed by the Tarkartan forces (Baraka's army), Jax and Kitana was killed by Quan Chi, and Kung Lao was killed by Shang Tsung. With his friends defeated, Raiden faced the Deadly Alliance alone, and so on. Deception explains the rest of the storyline after Deadly Alliance.
