You've missed the point. This film isn't about hiphop it's about life in the council estate where kids grow up being wannabes all their life because they lack direction. In fact I'd say that it's a CRUCIAL element of the film that she's not a good dancer because it highlights the fact that she was taken advantage of by Connor who was obviously lying when he told her she was good.
Lots of subtle points in this film that make it raw and real - the crap dancing is just one of them.
