Even though this is supposed to be "good" ending, it is still a downer in a way, after all the search of Cal was actually the main plot. Anyways Nate did promise to himself to find this french guy and when a man made a promise to themselves against an injustice, I am sure Nate will eventually get his revenge. Also Cal was the main character in the prequel Shellshock 67, way to kill of the lead character from the previous game.

I feel sorry for the people that paid $60 for when this was first released. I paid $12 for it the other day and I still feel like I was ripped off. This game was horrid. I honestly don't understand how some of you enjoyed it. I forced myself to beat it just because. There is even an achievement for completing the game... twice. When I first read the reviews of the game I thought "it can't be THAT bad"... they were right though. I've seen better graphics on a PS2.

It is, quite frankly, the worst FPS I've played in recent years for PC. he controls are sluggish, enemy AI is extremely basic, ironsight aiming is pointless as all guns are accurate without it, some more so, and I can't even complete the damn thing because of a glitch that persists after 5 installs and counting. oh, and at certain parts sound files don't even play. could of been great, just seemed rushed and underfunded when i played it. plus its stupidly short.

I don't neccessarily consider this the good nor bad ending, just an ending. Saving Cal, his brother, the person he came to Vietnam for and fought through all that hell to save him a bad ending...even if he died. Honestly though, I know its just a game but I don't see how a person could go back to a normal life after going through all that, doing/seeing all those horrifying things. Overall a delivery on the phychological horror but I would've liked to seen more of the Vietnam conflict.

Ironic that saving Whitenight is the right thing to do. I theorise that the antidote is spread throughout Indochina thereby eradicating the infection forever, the whole incident is permenantly covered up by the U.S. government and years later Nate tracks down Whiteknight and kills him to pervent it from ever happening again.
