  • I made this soup today and it was the best soup I have ever made. I did add 4 large cloves of garlic (sliced) and one can of diced tomatoes (drained) with my vegetables. I used a 5 pound roasting chicken.

  • Ottispivy, don't be such an ass.

  • Thank you Brian!! I made this about a dozen times and my family love it more and more every time.. I gave this recipe to my sister in law because she loved it also..

  • That soup sucks. mine is way better and a better color. P.s too much carrots makes it to sweet. Add fresh thyme and garlic and coireander seeds to the broth.

  • SCIENTIFIC MEASURING!!!!! 9:13 LOL

  • That looks delicious :D

I can't wait to try this at home.

  • finally someone who knows to slow cook the chicken with the skin on for best flavored natural broth! yum this is real chicken noodle soup thank you, I also use the No-Yolk too.

  • Best recipe I have seen so far.

  • bet it smells good!!

  • I followed his recipe, except I used fresh basil leaves instead of dry basil and I used a little less salt but added some garlic salt. It was super yummy.

  • he has like a bald spot on his side of his head

  • @uberleet01 looks like a scar from surgery, why would it matter any way hes sharing his knowledge with you???

  • My recipe is a doodleless one, but still as tasty as this one!

  • Why do u talk so much

  • @18 secs lol

  • dontcha know

  • where did this guys lips go??

  • This soup is so yummy!! I always make it even though it takes a long time it is well worth it!

  • How many quarts is that stock pot?

  • he is fckn creepy

  • I made this recipe this evening, it's amazzzzing! thank you soo much for sharing, much appreciated. Its definetly a keeper :)

  • Nominated for Best actor!

  • Can't wait to try this recipe! I have made your vegetable beef soup recipe and it was the best I've ever had -- thank you!

  • Thank you Chef, I have made this several times and it is the best I've ever had. You don't mention adding more water after the chicken is cooked, however you must be doing so because the water level in your video is about the same after you remove the chicken as it is with the chicken in the pot. I now add 2-3 cups of water after the chicken is removed from the pot, otherwise there isn't enough stock left over after simmering for 2-3 hours.

  • looks good

  • Nothing beats homemade!

  • Good Tutorial. Why would people dislike??

  • i want my veggies smooshy tho....i dont like crunchy veggies in a soft chicken soup.

  • hahah scientific measuring..lol

  • he got a bald spot..haha thats a weird spot to lose hair dare boy haha

  • @ReverseInfliction88 maybe he had surgery?? but i think he has a hearing aid there

  • @ReverseInfliction88 Who cares if he's got a bald spot? Does that have anything to do with who he is as a person, or his ability to teach others to cook? Jackass.

  • @PCLoadLetter84 fuck you ...his chicken noodle sucks anyways...lol little dick load

  • Thanks I see you made a big pot. You can still make the broth and if you have a small family, the broth freezes well for other recipes and soups. Yes your video takes the mystery out of good home made soup. I love it! I think the broth translates well into a slow cook pot. Oh and I top mine off with some fresh .parsley. But really I am digging your recipe it's a keeper!

  • LOOK REALLY GOOD

  • Brian ? ur hot and can cook , lucking woman! nice to have u on my utube list , my blessing to the family

  • this way better then what my sibling said to do

oxo cubes boiled water and noodles ....

  • Wanna make this even better? Skip the crummy noodles and MAKE YOUR OWN. Egg noodles are easy to make with a bit of flour and some eggs and they taste better than any store bought noodle. You arent cutting much fat by using those no yolks anyway. If you really wanna cut the fat, take the skin off your chicken first.

  • I make mine very similar but I like to cut up the chicken and brown it first before I simmer it. I use at least 4-5 large garlic cloves and I like to add a little crushed rosemary with the thyme. I also use no yolk noodles all the time. They taste better and do not overcook as easily as other types of noodles. I usually add the noodles at the very end, cover and remove from the heat and let them sit for about 15 minutes.

  • your missing some hair

  • That looks delicious!!!!

  • My soup was too thick and a bit too savory. What did I do wrong? Should I add water to it?

  • fantastic !!

  • Does anyone out there realise that our low-fat, low cholesterol, processed diet is actually KILLING us?!? There is nothing wrong with fats! Natural fats are GOOD for us!

  • @goldenscales Yes, many people realize this, but we are already so used to this diet.... it'll only get worse and worse I think :(

  • @sijas you are so right.

  • poknat!

  • it looks yameeeeeeeeee

  • Thank you Chef Brian! Awesome videos, very informative and helpful!

  • yunogarlic

  • I like how you waste nothing, brilliant !

  • You forgot to serve the bread on the side. Thanks for the recipe, I will try it out tonight.

  • Exactly what I was looking for. I was curious which spices would be best in this soup and now I know. Great demonstration and clear, concise directions all in one video. Thank you!

  • Awesome recipe but / so it takes like 4 to 5 hours to make a chicken soup, yea?

  • @kumaryder stick it in a pressure cooker ,,20 minutes ,,this guys a fairy ,,could you send me some pictures of you naked please

  • @simpleearthling

    soooon huni..

  • @kumaryder Make one weekend and if you are singal it lasts two weeks. I seperate portions in storage containers and freeze most of it.

  • @picatsoforfma

Would you mind to translate your text in a bit simpler English coz we've got no clue wot you sayin bout! sorry!!...

''Make one weekend and if you are singal it lasts two weeks. I seperate portions in storage containers and freeze most of it''

Plz! No offense! Just help us to help you....... we wish we could detect your text, we tried! Believe me! But to no avail.....hear frm you soon...!

  • @kumaryder If you want to make a good home made soup from scratch(and this vid includes the broth) then expect to spend some tender love and care on it. Other wise just buy some chicken meat, carrot sticks, pre cut celery and potatos and broth and boom, done in an hour and a half.

  • chef brian...................you handsome

  • thk u chef..:)

  • hey chef brian--- why no garlic in there?

im making a batch of this, which is the best dang soup ive ever made- and this time im throwing in to the stock, a bunch of garlic pieces and their skins. the broth thus far, smells awesome.

  • Here's an idea. Before putting the chicken in the pot, rinse and clean it very very well. If this is not done the chicken may come from the pot with a dirty unpleasant smell. Sometimes the smell can be like dirty wet dog fur. Terrible. Throw out smell. Even better cleanse and full rense the chicken with a mild soap till it has a neutral smell. Then put it in the pot.

  • @lblmer what! soap!?

  • The soup nazi has a new rival.

  • thanks dude! a big help.

  • Great stock...just tried it! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!!!

  • fried liver and onions are good if cooked properly..very sweet..and the texture is good too...but cooked wrong it is yucky

  • Thanks for the video, this is an excellent explanation of how to cook homemade chicken soup.

  • or you can buy a pack of 6 cans of chicken noodle soup

  • btw you have a bald spot on your head chef ryan

  • @helluvaday123

yet because his cooking skills are awesome, he gets mad pussy. mad pussy. and im talking about angry, serve me up some porridge kinda pussy.

by the way, the soup is fucking awesome

  • how do you get rid of the bones and skin in the end or is it supposed to be in the soup once its finished

  • @x98william

the extra stuff like veg ends and parts of the chix that you dont want to eat---that stuff gets strained and tossed away. you only keep the broth from the stock mixture. use a strainer and keep the fatty veg juice for stock. im doing it right now!

  • @daveinpenn ok thanks

  • Mmmm, sounds good.

  • Looks good, but you said, 1 head of celery. Isn't it called a stalk of celery? LOL.

  • @gmick49 a head is the whole unit.... a staulk or rib is a single piece

  • I make this soup recipe all the time... so fresh and HOMEMADE! No boullion cubes or any cheaters... thanks!

  • maybe he had a surgrey on his head

  • You have a great personality for making cooking videos. I loved this one. I enjoy making soup from scratch and will definitely try this recipe.

  • the chicken noodle soup looks like the canned ones.

  • i like fried liver and onions...

  • my soup takes a couple hours ill try your way and see how it works

  • You didn't de-fat the stock. I did it like that once and it was very fatty and tasted and felt weird. I always de-fat my stock now.

  • this looks great! lol i like this guy as well. i bet the holidays are always at this guys house ;D

  • Fantastic Soup. My family and friends love it. I have made it several times.

  • Stupid Question... can i substitute the "Dried" herbs for fresh herbs?

  • Of course you can. Fresh herbs add a wonderful addition, as well, I add the juice of a fresh lemon at the end to "brighten" the taste of the soup. If you like that real home cooked taste, don't add the lemon. I like a bright, fresh taste and use lemon and chopped cilantro at the end. That's just my personal touch.

  • This is worth the extra work. I have been cooking at home and in in my cafe for many yrs...I never did that extra step of putting thr bones back in to enrich the stock. But I have been doing it since I saw your video, and the raves never stop. This is excellant soup!

  • great vid, whats up with you haters? do you really have nothing better to do with your day than to make negative comments on a chicken soup cooking video?

  • Thank you for responding. Makes sense. If my mother would have taught me how to cook i would already have known that :-)

  • Cant you just buy chicken already cooked? lol Seems like it would be much faster that way.

  • sure, but the flavor for the soup comes from cooking the chicken in the broth.

  • yummy

  • I've been trying to make homemade chicken soup for the longest and have been going about it the wrong way this seems easy and so good I cannot wait to try this thank you

  • this is my moms recipe you get a chicken and cut up sum carrots and celery get 2 flavor packts get no yolk noodles and put in crock pot on low for 8 hours

  • OMG that looked delicious, i have a question, what if i have a sick family member and they cant taste the broth, could i add some chicken boulion and if so how much?

  • i made this over the weekend & man is it good. Thanks for the video

  • It sounds good. I want to cook this for my bf who is sick. : )

  • That's allllooooootttt of soup

  • This is really similar to my homemade chicken soup. I also crack the bones before adding them back to the broth. This way they release even more flavor. Nice recipe.

    Good luck and happy cooking!

  • Tryed it out, turned out respectivly, mine was more like a broth than a soup though.

  • hehehehe love the host/chef hes lively ....

    n cute too hihi^_^

  • I'm making a rough, smaller version of this soup now and it smells awesome! Using four chicken wings and added some garlic as well.

  • Chef Brian you are excellent at making chicken noodle soup but does anyone know your secret past when you starred in XXX Californian Cowgirls?

At least now you get you see less chicks in your pot! LOL!

  • that soup looks really good!! Im probably not able to make it ( Im 13 and my mom wont want me making a mess..Haha.)But im gonna get my mom to make it, i wrote down the recipe. Thanks!

  • Sounds like my mom. Lol

  • How much can this feed?

  • im guessing with that many vegetables atleast like 8 people but im guessing up to 12 depending on how much stock you have and how big ur pot is

  • I actually love love love fried liver. MMmmm So True and so sad. Great Video!

  • you made me laugh so hard at the begging. with the crying baby and all. sweet

  • I gave you 5 stars, but boiling your chicken? Yuck. Broil it with butter and spices and add the juices to your stock.

  • wow it looks YUMMMYY!!!

  • Thanks Brian! My soup turned out great. Here are some extra pointers to everyone... The bone marrow coagulates if you get it too hot, therefore it won't completely breakdown into your soup. low simmer for around 6 hours, strain stock then rapidly cool. Take off the fat that collects after cooling. Start warming up the stock. Sweat vegetables per video, but use a big blob of the chicken fat in the pan. Finish. Flavor improves with some time, and this method makes the soup even healthier. Peace.

  • THANK YOU -

  • awesome!! very thorough.

    Are you Canadian? =P

  • i just made a pot of chicken noodle soup...i am waiting for it too get cold so i can eat it. the wait is killing me!!!(i like my soup cold)O.O

  • He forgot the soda on the side!lol
