  • I dont know if it was mentioned but the trim and grille that looks like chrome are actually stainless steel. It will last longer than the rest of the car. That back seat is a later upholstery job. The original was a cloth material. I own a couple of the American 4 doors. Some folks really like those import versions because of the Plymouth design with the Dodge name. That center tail light was actually the only tail light originally. The other two just stayed on all the time. Owners changed them.

  • your camera quality is shit !!!!!!!

  • Opening song sounds similar to that used by mythbusters

  • @FiatGuy23 it's a little tune that came with the video editing software on our computer. I thinks it's called "greasy hillbillies", or something like that.

  • Nice car the 1946 Dodge.

  • @aspenole agreed!

  • I've always loved these 1940s Chrysler products. This particular Dodge is a Canadian variant, based on the Plymouth. The Plymouth-based models of 1946 through 1948 don't have the front fenders extending into the doors.

  • @BrockenSpecter Very interesting! It's great to get this kind of input, thank you… it's fascinating that so many cars and trucks where made just a little bit different for the canadian market. This car is one of our favorite finds.

  • @JunkyardJunkeez No problem -- I love the Canadian variants. I'm an automotive historian, and have some facts and figures if you are interested. If so, just send me your email address via P.M.

  • try to start it !!!!

  • @eik500 I know eh, it looks like it should fire right up!

  • what a beauty

  • @Talybanu88 we think this car is gorgeous too… and it's still there in the same spot right now!

  • Does anyone know the law on getting a abandoned car? Can you just take them and re register them? Just seems a horrible shame to leave them neglected! thanks in advance!

  • @63bugga no because thats stealing, who evers land its on its there property and is up to you to get it from that owner, maby you gota do a cupple days work for him free or buy it, do what ever you gota do just get the car!

  • @buchan2 thanks mate!

  • This car needs a second chance :)

  • @redhozki agreed! its a great car and I just love the grill and the 3rd tail light etc etc... have to get back around and see if it's still there. (most likely it'll still be in the same spot)

  • our local scrapyard has alot of pre ww2 cars and 40-50's, like a 47 desota and quite a few of tri 5 chevys,,, too bad i live in kansas, and farmers don't care about em'.

  • @jepperscc96 yep a lot of farmers are guilty of sending old cars to their deaths via a crusher or by bulldozing old farmyards and whatever vintage contents they contain into a pile and then burning it. Thats a common way to handle an old farmstead in these parts. I have a lot of respect for the guys that will work around old farm buildings and let them slowly fall in. Preferably with an old car or two to pretty the place up. That is a piece of hillbilly heaven right there. Neat & tidy sucks

  • @JunkyardJunkeez

yeah, it doesn't help that if the owner of the yard doesn't think he can make any money off of it, he crushes it and takes it up to the city to get more cash.. I was out there today and i found a nomad, along with a 49 or 50 suburban along with a 55 chevy suburban. He aid he was gonna crush them and he wanted 1200 each :O I watched him crush a model a today.. :( along with quite a few other old cars.

  • @jepperscc96 that's right, if he thinks that it's just worthless old junk, because he doesn't know or doesn't care, then another old car is in the line of fire. It's always sad to see old cars get crushed like you did today, but seeing that Nomad woulda been awesome

  • @JunkyardJunkeez

Yep, hey what part of the world are you from? sounds like your from Canada? i'm subbed now :)

  • @jepperscc96 oh oh- the "eh's" always give it away... we are in manitoba, smack dab in the middle of canada. Thanks for the sub, I'll head over to your channel and do the same

  • why is their nothing like this in ct

  • @develray oh oh, sounds like there's too many people around there that like old cars so they've been snapped up!

  • wow ?

  • @SAPSPIT actually we kinda thought: wow, this is cool! But that's just us, always over-reacting :)

  • @570cat hey that's awesome! I'll have to let 7thDayCreations know. he'll be happy to hear that

  • rust in piece fuck that drag that old girl out and give her a new home and new life

  • @crumpton794 yep, that's plan B

  • rust in piece fuck that drag that old girl out and give a new home and new life

  • Where are located these car?

  • @thejokeroldschool these 3 old cars are in the middle of nowhere... er, canada... in the province of manitoba

  • that grill and all that trim are suppose to be stainless steel, this car needs to be saved!

  • @7thDayCreations agreed! it's a beautiful car, we'll have to go back this year and see if it's still there

  • @JunkyardJunkeez was it ever there? I want to see another video of it!

  • @tntrocks13 we would love to visit this car again. (and will grant your wish of another vid, we promise) Its been there quite a while already, so she's probably still right there… as long as the land hasn't changed hands. that's one of the greatest dangers to these kind of finds. new owners like to "clean up". this owner likes things just the way they are (so he's our kinda people!) Old cars in nature are a special beauty to us.

  • whats that mint green car behind you @ 3:27?

  • @badgerbuddy that's the chev from old car hunting part 5 that's been cut down into a car-truck, or homemade "el camino". see you've put up something new- Chevrolet Chevelle Tribute... going to go take a look at that
