@YTUK um, no sweetheart. You probably don't know this, but it's the drums and the bass that keep the beat and provide a deeper support (respectively) to the song and guitar (again, respectively). It's normal.

wow, everyone likes to say pete doesn't know how to play the bass just because he uses a pick...believe it or not alot of bassists use a pick (esspecially metal)...it gives a different tone to the bass then fingers do and allows for faster speeds (no matter how fast your fingers are your picking will always end up faster due to the simplicity of the motion), also before this album, the style they used called for a pick due to this tonal difference being what most punk bands go for

It's cause he really sucks at the bass. He's good at the thatrics and stage presence. He has charisma but technically he's weak. He doesn't play anything other than power chords and really doesn't do anything too hard on the bass, and sometimes his bass sounds horrible. Sounds like farting sometims. LOL

@blackmadina99 compared to virtusios of the instrument yes pete does suffer a handicap, but it would be unfair to compare him to such as most musicians are not as talented as a virtusio, in all truth what you say encompasses most players as far as the power chords and the not doing anything too hard, often times simplicity is the most beautiful way as compared to crass outpourings of technical skill. and as far as the bass not sounding good at times, this can be chalked up to the chaos of stage

Well,i don't hate the guy. He's half the reason the bands famous, and he helped out PATD. Which is one of my favorite bands. I like him and all his stunts he does on stage. But im just trying to be honest here. He plays the bass guitar technically like someone who is intermediate. I've never once heard him do anything complicated. Compared to everybody else in the band, he's the least talented, but he's the most famous at the same time.

@blackmadina99 again, sometimes doing something complicated can ruin the sound of a great song...listen to metal if you want technical bass or jazz....if you watch a bassist they are almost never playing chords to begin with merely playing one string at a time, sure they hold a couple down but it's just so they don't have to move their fingers from one to the next....also patrick doesn't do anything complicated on guitar either...so what you're saying is we should all only praise trohman

I admire patrick for his singing even if it is effy live, and he plays lead at times whilst singing and i admire him for that as well. He has talent there, and why only trohman? have you seen andy use double bass and do drum solos during concerts? he's pretty good. That's why i think oete's the least talented. He can't play bass well and can't sing. Sucks at screaming but then again. I like how he looks whenever he plays the guitar. But other than that his bass is mediocre.

I was comparing him to everybody else in the band. Not just the strings. Patricks talented many ways, he cans sing, play the guitar and play the drums. Andy is a sick drummer and can do more than what he shows in the songs FOB plays. And joe is just crazy. Comparing pete to everyone else in the band, he just sadly pales in comparison.

I think Patrick sounds fine live. I've heard a LOT worse. xD But I guess that's just me. Everybody sounds better in the studio. But, -coughIMustConfess- I noticed that on certain parts of this, his voice gets... Eh-ish. And I've noticed that on a lot of shows, his voice doesn't sound as it does in a physical concert, and depending on when he woke up, if he just woke up, his voice isn't going to be as good. More scratchy. But I dunno what time of the day this was recorded, so.
