you need to pay attention to what they are wearing. All of them (sans ward, no shirt) are wearing bright colored clothing. Nothing "dark" about this at all. But when you see them today they wear dark clothing, why the change? The only "dark" thing about sabbath music was the way it was played. As Geezer pointed out; the lyrics to their music always warned about black magic, satanism and the evils of this world.

I love Sabbath. I only wish I could have been at this festival to have seen a prime Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and The Eagles. Every band on the bill could play and write their own material, which is a world apart from the so-called "artists" of today who are mere media-created puppets.

I remember watching this on TV in Detroit, for some reason it was black and white. I was 9 yrs old and my parents had switched the TV channel to something else "exciting" that was on that early evening , maybe a made for tv movie,Can't remember that part! Something was debuting. I know they wanted to see Seals and Crofts or someone else? so Dad got up and switched it to see the concert .They could see I was excited to see this and they tolerated it for a little bit...
