Mr. Bloodorange: Tell me what you think of Swantje's and Axel's Argentine and also Heather Menard's and Kyle Turley's - roller skaters. They are more contemporary.
Really looks like a nicely skated TEST / Rocking on cross rolls (not needed) Doesnt have the fire of Oksana Gritshuks Argentine(98 Olympics) his counter is good
Thanks for the video. I loved it, too. Exquisite footwork, but a little tame on interpretation by today's comparison. What I especially liked is the wonderful round lobe after the twizle and how it is aimed to the center and rounded back to the baseline. The cross-rolls are equally wonderful. I would love to see videos of legends Adolph Wacker (my former coach) and Linda Mottice to see if they were as great as I remember them to be. Thanks again!
Thank you Terryl9 for reproducing from super 8mm film this presentation of the Argentine Tango skated in Fort Worth, Texas at the 1976 American National
Championships. This along with the wonderful artistic dance skating currently being done today is indisputable evidence that Roller Dance Skating belongs with sporting events actively participating in the Olympics!
