@rosztun Try listening to Portishead, defined as Trip-Hop. Songs like Undenied, Machine Gun, Roads, Humming, etc, and well, scout around. You might not like all their songs, but as a Knife fan, I generally love them. They certainly try to be themselves, just as The Knife. I also guess you know of Karin's solo project Fever Ray?

And as a total hip shot: Hedningarna. Totally unique Swedish/ Finnish folk music. Awesome drum beats, pagan, raw. Try Tuuli, Räven, Täss'on Nainen.

Absolutely not. Fever Ray is a totally seperate project from The Knife. She plays a total of 12 songs in her live show as Fever Ray; 10 original songs from her album and two covers, one is "Here Before" (originally by Vashti Bunyan) and the other is "Stranger Than Kindness" (originally by Nick Cave And Anita Lane). Karin and Olof (well, just Karin) said that they might start working on a new Knife album in december '09 though.
