  • Really fucking good album.

  • fucking tune

  • I remember this song when i was like three or four years old.

  • I SAW THA THUNDERR-EERR AND HEARRD THA LIGHTNEEEENNN'

  • Amazing track and yes it's got breaks- listen harder

  • I was a fetus in 92, and later turned into a baby.

  • Zomby starts a war at 0:20

  • Its just a homage, (rip off??), of old school rave and hardcore.

    No drama.

If you really like this sound you should check out the old tapes and mixes from Dreamscape, Fantazia, Tribal Gathering, Helter Skelter etc etc. True old school soundz.

  • Proto dubstep

  • Does it matter what genre it is..........Stop trying to put music into boxes, just enjoy it!!

  • damn this is slick and i dont give two flyin fucks what genre this is. this moves me, y'all

  • my mum sad its dubstep

  • you're all bellends if you think this is dubstep. you're all bellends anyway actually.

  • Favorite Zomby track for sure

  • @Lackasombodi idk the forest is sick

  • @okcomputeA True

  • what the fuck are you lot talking about this is romantic future 2-step with some neo-porn funk house thrown in the mix.

can't wait for the new forum for this genre to be made so I can masturbate to it all day

  • blah blah blah (insert genre here) blah blah blah

  • dubstep or no dubstep...this tune kicks ass

  • I swear, one of the voices is saying "I've gotta fondle her". Trust me, you will hear it.

  • @grindcorepants HOLY SHIT, you're right! My mind = blown!

  • @Sahyeh Haha, I actually think the song is saying "I've gotten fond of her", but I like it better the other way.

  • Genres are fucking stupid.

  • Must fo' car music !

  • freakin´ bass, flow into my mind to my legs...cant stop dance!

Zomby, let me marry your sister to get this sound familiar...

  • sounds well similar to boards of canada - chinook

  • @everyone it's not like he's trying to reinvent the wheel, it's a rave inspired dubstep tune

  • The irony of being a toddler at the time of this musical trend is not lost on Zomby.

  • Fuck genres, Praise Individualism

  • Who cares - it's some great old skool sound and it's bumpin'!!!!

  • Where were I in '92? I was fuckin born for this music!!

  • YES

  • This sound blows my brain out !!!

I was 12 y old and had nothing to do with music like this.

I like this frequenced Bassline it remembers a little bit of heavy reggae Dub

    Thumbs up

  • dope shit!

  • the horns! THE HORNS!!!

  • Well, I was probably a sperm in '92, so I missed out! :(

  • @CryogenicXsean oh ya? can i hit dat?

  • *AIRHORN*

  • i was only 7 at the time but '92 really was the best time for electronic music. really wish i was there, but at least i can still enjoy the music now.

  • the only good wobble bass in the whole dubstep

  • ohhai

  • i'm lost in the dubstep scene

    i like bassy tunes

not tha big into skream but i can see hez a genious any suggestions of artists

  • @InSaNeKillz try: distance, 16bit, 2562, ganja white night, kromestar, martyn, phenom, starkey, joy orbison, sukha knight, jazzsteppa, unitz, RMS, devnik, joker

dubstep is extremely versatile so there are bound to be some artists you like a lot and some that don't suit your taste at all. I've never been crazy about skream but he definitely has a few really good tunes out. just "shop around" in the related videos of artists you like on here and you're bound to come across some good stuff 1L

  • lovin' da beatz yo.

  • old-school rave music.

  • there's only two genres in my eyes; good and bad, this falls into the good category... and by good i mean special.

  • as with most of this album, the feel is like 'playing with knives' updated with dubsteppy wobble sub-bass etc. so basically updated 'ardkore.

  • Nice sh*t

  • the tempo is closer to dubstep than to oldskool breakbeat... 140 bpm vs 160.

  • @Fermezlabouchee oldskool hardcore varied in tempo from 130bpm to 160bpm

  • kickin' ass tune !!!

    Cool atmosphere while listening !!!!

  • yep lik groovy ghetto (samples) 4 exemple

  • freakin' amazing

  • they dont make speakers loud enough for this mother fucking kkkkkiiiiiiiiilllllerrrrrrrrrrr

  • Does anyone know where I can download this tune?

  • boomkat

  • Bad tune, hardcore will never die! :)

  • Its not hardcore you donut! its dubstep

  • i think you're beign the donut here mate

  • this isn't dubstep. obviously this album is done by a dubstep artists....but the genre is breakbeat house....a genre that pretty much the first sound that people would "rave" too. this genre floated about during late 80's and declined aroun 1993. hence the name of the album this track is taken from....where were you in 92.....this refers to the music released in 1992 as many people say it was the best year for music EVER, with jungle taking off and some of the best hardcore tracks being released

  • @amitrayit1990 the very !st breakbeat house maybe very late 1990. not in the 80s .

i was there and i KNOW.

  • @amitrayit1990 I've been told 93 (maybe 93-94) was the best time, for jungle I mean.

But I too notice this album has some house-influences, I thought it were a complete jungle album.

  • who gives a fuck where and what it came from...Just enjoy the fuckin music ya fuckin cunt...

  • @noisefuckbastard shutup you fuckin ignorant pissed. Lots of ppl give a fuck. Origins, progression, culture and history are some of the greatest aspects of civilization. If art didn't have scenes and movements it would just be an atomized, insular world of ppl workin on stuff in their bedrooms.

  • @Sensualsenior oh hahaha im sorry, go fuck yourself.

  • @Sensualsenior your a fuckin faggot

  • @amitrayit1990 you got some knowledge! I love a link to the music you say this is like. So is that what d&b/jungle came out of then (aswell as the obvious ragga and hardcore) I can never get my head round the conditions d&b came from

  • @amitrayit1990 genres don't mean anything at the end of the dayy

  • @amitrayit1990 genres don't mean anything at the end of the dayy

  • @amitrayit1990 stfu yuo dont know shit mother fucker

  • @amitrayit1990 is that the official name of the genre widely known as "old skl"?

i wanted to post a similar comment before i saw this one, but i wasn't sure of the actual name of that genre... that whole period of music was so confusing. after old skl sorta came old skl hardcore, then into jungle, then into dnb, then stuff got shit.... right?

  • who cares what words you put to it. genres mean nothing, they are just mind inventions. delusions. there's nothing more annoying than how on every tune on youtube there seems to be comments about whether the tune is post-dubstep with minimal techno tinges or progressive house with a leniency towards early jungle breaks. they are just words, they mean nothing. the tune is just the tune. enjoy it for what it is. don't project your ideas on to it.

  • @WillT23

Dude we obviously need genres to classify music. It's a useful tool for both artists and fans to describe and discuss sounds, influences, lyrics etc. You sound like a douche.

  • @amitrayit1990

sounds like dubstep to me... before dubstep got shitty

  • @amitrayit1990 Wikipedia?

  • @amitrayit1990

thank you for educating me lol

  • @amitrayit1990 Zomby is not a dubstep producer / artist / whateverthefuck... -.-

  • @amitrayit1990 u fuckin nerd puttin a label on everything

  • @peraltaman he is speaking truth ffs, go fuck yourself if you are dissapointed and you thought this was just regular dubstep and it turns out you dont know shit

  • @DanielBombastic i didnt think anything other then this is great music, its middle school shit to go on in explain what genre this should be placed under grow up

  • @amitrayit1990 Sounds like it has a pretty dubsteppy beat and a typical baseline. Also I think 'breakbeat' house is a pretty self contradictory statement, which is irrelevant as this track doesn't have breaks. Also the album names seems to have been derived from an M.I.A track where she clearly says "Where were you in 92?" at several points. I just am really sick of people constantly putting out these psuedo-knowledgeable comments on videos.

  • @TimeForBold you retard i seriously doubt that zomby would listen to MIA and quote one of her lyrics as the album title, look at the other songs on the mixtape and you will see they all have a 1990s style, *I* am just sick of retarded people like you making retarded comments. sit the fuck down

  • @DubbaSkank REALLY MAN? Did he say that last time you two met for coffee? Also really observant about the "1990s style"! THANKS DUDE, I DIDN'T NOTICE! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW RAVE WAS A GENRE BEFORE ZOMBY! You also neglected the fact that I said the album title *seems* to be derived from an M.I.A track, I never said it *was*. And like I already pointed out, how the fuck would you know what Zomby likes?

Also when you said "sit the fuck down" it was really stupid and shit, just like your comment.

  • @TimeForBold Mate the track has breaks ;). Anyway you're right that we never called the music breakbeat house, although most of the first tunes to use breaks were similar to the house tunes, just without the 4/4 beats. Most of us called the music 'hardcore' until the genre splits in 93 with jungle techno, jungle, dark side, darkcore etc, etc. Also, I didn't hear the expression 'Happy Hardcore' until about 94, but it might have been coined earlier.

  • @hombrerelents Old school raver in the house! I was too young and ill-situated for rave's hey day :(

  • @TimeForBold I was a very young man when I attended my first (illegal) parties on the south coast, but got dragged along with my sister and her mates. Wicked times. I just loved the music. Still do as you can see from my favourites!

  • you're the donut

    not dubstep

jungle or breakbeat or whatever but not dubstep
