He's amazing. Other actors are called chameleons, but DDL's transformations are far more complete than other actors. His mannerisms, voice, style of speaking, everything is changed.

Daniel Day Lewis was often called the best actor of his generation. It still stands, though I have to say that Sir Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley are enormous talents.

If not the best, yeah. When these two films came out back to back in Spring '86 I was struck by his versatility. Then what he did with "My Left Foot" was nothing short of amazing. What a rich and varied career.
