You shouldn't even allude to the government being Robin hood. That was a romanticized fictional character. There is nothing romantic about government theft. It is simply power crazed bureaucrats run-a-muck.
Those bureaucrats are enable by two things principally. One are the egalitarian fools who don't understand real economics. Second are the fantastically greedy progressives that dominate Wall Street investors who know that government largess & debt is great business for them.
I regularly give a couple dollars a month so someone can stay alive... I just don't like the government mandating what I do with the money I make and then getting a cut of it.

If I had to use labels I would call myself and Objectivist, and I believe in Social Contract Theory of morality.
