It's hard to fight the instinct to curl up into a ball when it goes wrong (which I think is why it was hard to straighten your legs and to go 'pelvis down'), and as someone else said, the most important thing was that you pulled your cord :) On my first jump I didn't manage to locate my cord so my instructor had to guide me to it!

@bugz000 At the beginning, the person didn't arch their back to make their body form a "U" shape so they drop to the earth stomach-down. The 2 fingers straight out (similar to the peace sign) means put your legs out (45 degree angle). This person kept them next to vertical. That was a horrible dive.

@Hallgren95 well legs wrong was only 1 of the problems. Also had no arch, arms were straight also. For her legs she had her feet tucked in behind her knees. Needed to straighten her legs to get air on her shins. Her legs bent to much reduced lift on lower body and her arms straightened out created more lift on upper body. thats why the back flips at beginning.

@blunklaura @blunklaura It's 3 jumps with 2 instructors and 4 jumps with 1 instructor so 1-7 levels until your AFF graduated.

Then you can jump on your own, but you have to pass each level so yeah technique matters. You redo any levels you don't pass. practice makes perfect! Dooo it!!! it's amazing! :)
