so of course a manga can feature filler, have you ever read bleach ? majority of the pages in each chapter are filler pages to expand the volumes.

i.e. blank pages, 1 word on a page, pointless drama with no context.

@MrToastOmnomnom I recommend both the Gintama manga and anime(though, the anime has more filler than the manga, but Gintama is 30% filler either way). Also, the manga has more references of other manga, video games and western comics, including Deadpool, the Legend of Zelda, Resident Evil, and many other stuff that the author throws in whenever he feels like it.

I don't mind fillers too much, helps get to know everyone :D As long as it isn't a filler that kinda makes me fell like I missed a whole episode. Kinda like how Code Geass did, seemed like it skipped a episode with a filler then came back to it later on in the anime. I think Code Geass did that.

@MrToastOmnomnom Actually, Gintama doesn't have that many filler eps compared to most anime. Gintama only has about 30 filler eps, and 228 eps altogether, so that leaves 198 cannon eps.

@Machintoshhater I've watched the entire Gintama series and I've also read the manga. Where did you get 30%? It's more like 14%. There are around 30 filler eps, and 228 for the entire anime. In order for the filler eps to be 30%, it has to have, oh, I guess 67 filler eps in order for it to meet that filler quota.
