This is a guide on how to download videos...anyone can do that (I use ant bar, one click and its downloading). But I was expecting this to show how to mirror the actual video (as in, the video itself is mirrored to get around censors).

@bicnarok Yeah, it's far easier these days. There's virtually no need for this video now! Even realplayer does it now and it's far less hassle!! :) I'll be taking it down soon it seems! :)

Most people upload their videos to mediafire these days which removes the need for mirroring in this way. It's probably time to take this video down now after a year! :) Sorry it didn't work :(

Mirroring is effectively copying the video in question. If the video has been flagged, then - by mirroring it - you put yourself at risk of also being flagged.

Does this work for vids that i have in my comp already downloaded. I want to mirror them. I am using the realplayer sp to get my vids and i want to mirror them.

@PirateHunterZoro200 Yes m8!! You've done the hardest part! :)

If you have videos downloaded already, just upload them to YouTube as normal (the upload button is on the YouTube search bar, right at the end! That's pretty much step 7 in my video!). Check the format of the videos you have, but YouTube will accept quite a wide range of types. Videos can be... * High Definition * Up to 2 GB in size. * Up to 10 minutes in length. * A wide variety of formats

@PirateHunterZoro200 I'm not sure if I understand what you want to do?

You have the videos already (right?), so there is no need to get their URLs. You simply put the video up on your channel. If YouTube blocks the video again, then it is your account that gets the strike. [That is the risk you run when you mirror other people's videos on their behalf. You risk losing your own channel if it is banned content.]

Has that cleared it up?

@Cloudspeaker I'm glad I could be of help. I'll have to update it though, since I think that Keepvid et al have decided to change the format slightly. Most people now who want you to mirror their videos will upload a copy to a website such as mediafire and provide a simple link. Makes things that little bit easier :)

I personally don't use firefox as much these days (although I use thunderbird for email) working almost exclusively with Google chrome. It apparently has an equivalent java script app called bookmarklet.
