  • 4 people hate God...

  • My best friend and I are the cantors for this song in our school thanksgiving mass at Corpus Christi next week

  • i never sing at mass. our songs and our whole approach to music is boring and embarrassing.

  • We've just started singing the opening Alleluias as Gospel acclamations at church. Absolutely love'em :)

  • 1979 was a great year

  • where I can get the scores of hallelujah?

  • If I have to be at Mass (adoptive family reasons [I am a Bapist, who was born Jewish adopted and rasied Catholic]), this is one of my favourite Mass settings. Christopher Walker is gifted.

  • Boring, where's the good ol' Latin at?

  • @DofSproductions One could say Latin is boring.

  • @DofSproductions Liturgy isn't rooted in fun or boring but prayerful

  • In my church run by the Columban fathers, they sing this song as the gospel acclamation. Alleluia. Gloria in excelsis deo!

  • @Kythos Its a no brainer that they would use this as the Gospel Acclamation as this is why it was written! This is the Gospel Acclamation from Christopher Walker's setting 'Celtic Mass'.

  • Christ is risen. Alleluia. Alleluia. Indeed He is Risen. Happy Easter! :-)

  • I love the Celtic Mass, so upbeat yet not overdone. We stopped using it after many years and now use the Mass of God's Promise which is very nice, but this is still my favorite Alleluia.

  • My favorite Alleluia! So vibrant, jubilant and joyous! Praised be Jesus Christ!

  • This is wonderful, but too short, where can I find the long version??? Who can tell me?

  • My choir has had this hymn in our folders for more than 6 months now, and still I CANNOT get them to rehearse it while we are being told we need to use Alleluia-verses... I like the one we have now, but the fact they first spend hours convincing me this is the best one to pick, and then do nothing at all frustrates me. I get it, lack of time to practice it before rehearsal. What? isn't that what rehearsal is about?

  • @mark0123210 you CAN actually participate in mass without partaking in the actual Eucharist. And how on earth do you think you have the right to judge him/her! The bible CLEARLY states the LORD WILL JUDGE, not you!

  • Hm 3 people accidently hit dislike lol.. PRAISE THE HOLY SPIRIT, JESUS CHRIST, AND GOD THE FATHER!!

  • i all so was member of st martin deporress holy roman catholic church in windsor ontario canada thay would all ways play pachible canon in d major on the electric pipe organ att st martiin deporress holy roman catholic church and again i was all ways extreamly thee most utmost tooken up with the 1st station of the cross jesus and pontus pilate our preist wher fr larry poission and fr jerry quinnville

  • What is the slower and darker version of this Alleluia mass song?? Please help!

  • I'm an atheist but I love participating in school mass. I go to a Jesuit school and this is one of my favorite hymns. This and "How Can I Keep From Singing".

I don't like religion but church is fun and communion is tasty.

  • @ArtisticwithaK Don't take communion if you're an atheist. Please. It's not good for you. Just a friendly warning. :) Mark has a point.

I wonder why my Christian friends don't like the old hymns but you like them.

  • Praise the Holy Trinity! Love this song!

  • I need to practice for choir :D Thanks, This helped BUNCHES. Thanks Love.

  • same thats on the emmanuel cd lol

  • not my favorite alleluia but its pretty

  • great nice

  • My favorite Alleluia!

  • Our church usually uses this as the recessional for the Sunday before Ash Wednesday since we can't sing "Alleluia" in the RCC during Lent. Fun way to bid farewell to the Alleluia.

  • @hymnsinger5 our church just replaces all the alleluia's with Prai-ai-aise the Lo-o-ord during Lent(we have quite a few non-alleluia songs which use the word alleluia anyways)

  • @J0k394 Haha, wow. I think the music director at my parish would flip if he went to a church and they did that. :)

  • @hymnsinger5 yeah, the music director at your parish should try to teach both the kiddie and adult choir a new song then.. He'll give up as well. Only the youth choir (aka my choir) and some other ensembles actually are flexible enough to learn a song in 2 or 3 rehearsals....

  • I play this on my flute with my teen choir! So fun!!

  • im singin dat at my confirmation o de

    28th of mayb2009!!!!!!!!

  • Rejoiceful!

  • This is the Alleluia that I am having at my wedding, it is beautiful.

  • I love this song

  • I sure enjoy this hymn. I sing it at evening mass at the chapel at Aquinas College, and I feel excited each time. :)

  • i have been searching for this song for a long time ever since hearing this in one of the masses i attended. how i wish the philippines has celtic churches, or even just celebrate the mass of the celtic saints.:)

  • @porkyfish non-celtic Catholics use this alleluia too, yknow

  • @J0k394 Yeah, I know. But this is rarely being used/sung in our churches here. :(

  • i feel blest.:)

  • Beautiful hymn,thank you.

    God bless Annie

  • This exact version with guitars goes perfectly with an organ. A perfect blend of traditional and more contemporary instruments!

  • pelople at my grandparents church sing this but i could never understand the words one of my favorites besides mass of creation
