What a coincidence - I was just trying to remember the notes of this sonata, which I really haven't played in a while, and here I stumble on this five year old girl who probably plays Mozart in more of the way he would have liked his pieces to be played. I should go back to my ballade now :P

You learned music. She learned where to move her fingers, plays by rote, and has no concept of music at all. It's all memorized, and she's like a little robot who doesn't even understand what she's playing. She's just doing what she was shown. You are a much better musician. That's how I see it.

Figuring out a song is like playing a game to her, like putting a puzzle together to form a picture, she just sits down and plays. Some people see what others don't.

Amazing little angel. I just hope she also has the life of a child as well. Like school, playing with friends OUTdoors in the sunshine. I hope she doesn't spend all of her life at the piano, and at five playing these pieces, I have a feeling that this is her only life. Most 5 year olds are just learning to coordinate and are not neurologically ready to play. However, this 5 year old has really deified the limitations of age. She has great potential. To assimulate these Mozart, Chopin and Kabalevsky pieces is a feat of memory at this age. Congratulations!

When you're ten or so, yes. But at the age of 5, ones brain is still maturing so drastically that is is hard to do anything beyond the status quo of "normal" (meant in the loose interpretation of the word) 5 year olds.
As difficult as it can be "Mic" ing a piano this is such a delightful video. The overall visual effect with her sitting as she is, black piano with black background...very nice. Good job girl....~

bam; push usually doesn't work. this child must be talented. if push worked, i would push my child. musical instrument is a good toy for the children, memorizing music is excellent training of brain memory cells, to make them A+ student, grow to be the professional. away from street alcohol and drugs.
yeah push is no good, for many. Like me it didn't worked for 9 years. After I stopped I started the true love classical music. Yes and its good to keep children busy with it, away from partying and video games.
