  • Is .270 too much for coyote?

  • @79Testo No. The coyote would prefer it.

  • @79Testo

depends, do you want them for hide or just to kill?

for killing yes, for hide i'd use something smaller like an ar15 or .22 mag.

  • why hunt? every animal is innocent, i'ld laugh if some animal creeped up behind you and started chewing on your neck, then I'ld cheer and call your momma on the phone and say "yeahhh just killed your son!"

  • @JustAnOrdinarySimmer whos cares its recreation

  • @JustAnOrdinarySimmer "yeahhh just killed your son!"?????? ....you have some SERIOUS issues.....I know not everyone agrees with hunting animals, butwhy are you even watching hunting videos if you don't agree with it?

  • get

    em

  • if i were you, i woudlnt have been jumping around yelling and screaming after you shot them. ive had some come in ten minutes after wondering what happened to the others. just my opinion though. nice kills

  • hey i just bought a savage euro classic model 114 .270 and i am wondering the best round for coyotes

  • You guys really got dog hunting doun. I can relate to you guys style of hunting. More than alot. Like west hunting. Its a whole different ball game. I live in ohio. The terrain i hunt is a lot like yours. Wooded areas. Alot of times its hard to call them dogs out of the timber to get a clear shot. I wish i could hunt with you guys sometime. And learn a few tricks. Thanks alot for your cool vids. Iam always waiting for more.

  • what does everyone do with the coyotes after they kill them. i'm all about killing them, so i was just wondering.

  • @sako300wsm1

If it's winter their coats will be noticeably thicker, and you can sell the hides to a taxidermist.

  • 2 dumb fucks

  • @liveedge1 ya those coyotes were not smart! :-)

  • The state I live in coyote season is open all year, no limits!!!

  • @militiaignite ware do you live. Wisconsin is open all year aswell

  • @PainKiller1773 Hahahaha you know you're redneck when....

  • @PainKiller1773 hell yeah, or when your small city has 9 bars and only 3 churches

  • @militiaignite same here hahaha just got my new .270 win and those coyotes arent going to know what hit them

  • @Laughattack011 what is da brand. i gots me one helll of a savage 270

  • @PainKiller1773 its the new marlin xl7s great gun!

  • I wish I could get you guys to get rid of the coyotes around here. They just ate my cat and have cleaned out all the rabbits and deer from my area. They are a nuisance.

  • @Roadghost88

Get a hunting license for $30-60. Then go to the closest gun store and get a cheap, single-shot shotgun for $80-100. Also pick up a box of slugs or buckshot, depending on how much you hate coyotes, and that'll cost you about $4 per 5 shells. In many states, you don't even need a license if you're killing the coyotes to prevent the destruction of property or domestic animals. So there you go! You too can kill coyotes, for as low as $84!

  • @Roadghost88 Where do you live

  • what part of new york state is this?? looks very much like where i hunt, down in otsego county.

  • Great job Guys!!!

    Vozzy

  • Where can I sell coyote pelts?

  • First time i ever see a double kill shoot at coyote hunting! Congrat' guys! Your a nice hunter!

  • Coyote pelts sell for 50$ a pelt where I live

  • @1tsMeRenee Will do, bye for now.

  • @1tsMeRenee Ooh, well a little harsh with the name calling don't you think? On the other hand, I meant you know disrespect by asking of your age, it was only the thought that I had while I was clearing my inbox that we had talked a lot of nonsense to each other, without having gotten to know each other.

  • Comment removed

  • @1tsMeRenee Remember me? Sorry that its taken me so long to talk to you again, I don't spend much (or ALL my time) on the internet ranting unlike someone I know... =] I've been semi-occupied at establishing a life for myself like most normal human beings. I also see that you haven't changed at all, talking with little boys while your husband performs the necessary act of being the traditional bread winner of the house hold. If you're still on here, I'd like to know, how old are you?

  • Good Job. Fucking Coyotes. They can't help themselves whenever they hear "distress." Some larger game makes me go a little liberal but varmint hunting never does. Crow and Coyotes no mercy. If you were lying hurt somewhere they would gladly peck or bite at you. I don't care about it is only natural. It is also natural for me then to take them out when I can...lol...

  • Coyotes are KILLING HUMANS where I live in Canada. Yes, KILLING HUMANS. I'm tired of this PETA bullshit, us hunters kill to eat, and kill to survive. Yes, sometimes we may feel bad about a kill, but we kill as quick as we can so animals don't suffer. And around where I live we need to kill coyotes to survive or they'll kill us. So shut the hell up

  • I'll go after the cotote with a stick if you put the coyote costume on!! :)

  • I like how you use the excuse to kill these 2 by claiming a threat to live stock and pets. I can tell there's alot of cattle and chickens there. Blow their asses up with claymores for all i care if they are posing a threat. But luring them out with a rabbit call is stink bait to a cat fish.... Real challenging. You want a fucking challenge goto Iraq or Afghanistan. Then see how bad ass a hunter you are. Prolly piss your pants and the sound of a bullet cracking by. Frickin rabbit call man, weak..

  • @mulletmaffia84 I did 3 deployments to Iraq and I hunt coyotes any time I have a chance using a mouthcall.

  • That was great guys , We all need to have days like that

  • Good shooting guys and a great video. In the UK we do not have coyotes or wolves, only foxes, so i am envious.

  • Well, i don't know why I watched this video, but I can tell you I am crying... All I can see is my own dog being shot....

  • What call are you using? i know its a rabbit distresss but what brand/model?

  • Do you find .270 a little heavy? Would a 22-250 be a good varmit gun?

  • @ericclaptonismygod31 ha we use 22-250s an its a great varmit gun!! ill b puttin coyota hunts up this winter all i got is bear so far with runnin season pls coment an tell me how im doin thx!!

  • Coyotes are beautiful animals, I hope I get the chance to see one one day. Its a shame you need to kill them but I would be doing likewise if my pets/ children were threatened by their presence, or if they are just overpopulated. I will always regard calling in as 'cheating' but you made a quick kill so alls well that ends well.

  • @dadeskr GET A .22 or a 25-06 and shoot all the little bastartds you can they eat livestock and DEER!!!

  • They are supposed to eat deer you muppet, they are carnivores that's what they do! You can't justify killing them because of that, if coyotes are damaging the deer population (ie killing more than is sustainable and leading to an ongoing decrease in their numbers) then yes they need to be controlled. But you can't go shooting coyotes cause they eat deer. As for livestock, how much damage to coyotes do to the livestock industry? And surely there are ways of preventing that damage without killing

  • You did fine juggling the call and camera.

    Some decent shooting too.

  • nice shooting

  • Ha, you can be an animal lover and still shoot a coyote. Loving nature and animals is not about being anti-hunting.

    Now if you're a vegetarian.........

  • Dang those came in close, I've just started hunting them, with no success. How are you masking your scent? They seem to be more worried about food than anything else, you shot one, and the next one stopped when you squealed instead of running. I was worried my scent would scare them, but it looks like I just need to find a better location, time or call better.

  • @Paganwarrior2000 Your scent is crucial, but instead of masking, focus more on wind direction.

  • @Oregun89 Ok, thanks. Maybe you can answer this question. Will cover scents have any effect on using insect repellents? I know it sounds like a crazy question to ask, but I've wondered about it. I have to use repellents to keep the ticks off.

  • next time do us a favour and shoot your head instead. uneducated barbarians.

  • @ katerinaok

How does that foot taste? you uneducated fool. You have Zero Zip knowledge of Coyotes and you run your dumbass mouth anyway.

  • @katerinaok Oh look, another European trying to troll Americans. Must be jealousy at your lousy form of government. How's that economy going over there Greece?

  • @Paganwarrior2000 funny thing..our pm is american..hmm..no wonder then,right?

  • @katerinaok You let foreigners run your country? That was smart... Worked out well for Germany back in the 40's....

  • @Paganwarrior2000 yes you're right indeed! but eventhough we did this still..we are a bit better than killing innocent animals just because we can or just for fun..you should really watch 'earthlings',it might change your point of view else it will entertain you,i do hope for the former though..

  • @katerinaok Obviously you do not know why many people hunt coyote. It's not just because we can, or just for fun. Though entertaining and challenging, coyotes pose a threat to humans, livestock, and our pets. Perhaps it is different in Greece, but here they kill everything from our cats and dogs, attack people (remember the story of the Canadian singer who was killed by coyotes?) and carry dangerous diseases. Look at some pages of American predator hunters, it'll open your eyes.

  • very nice...congrats on a great job

  • can eat them or not or was it for the fur

  • i agree with mrblackshee350 dont watch the video if u dont like it, nice job by the way

  • dont ya think a 270 is a little big for the fur?

  • Nice, To call 2 dogs and get them, That is something. Great shooting TEX. See in wyo we have a coyote comp , The bigest and the most. we shoot from plaine and choper. 10 to 30 a day most days. They run ramped out in the flats and they are one of the problems with the sage chicken pop going down. They kill just to kill and we need to controll their pop.

  • my dog is growling at my laptop

  • Great Job!! And for those crying about the loss of Coyotes, you wont understand the need to thin them out until they start killing YOUR farm animals and domestic pets...They populate at a very fast rate!!

  • Great!!! Waidmannsheil from Austria

  • Comment removed

  • Coyotes are a serious problem, most people wouldn't know because they don't own or live on a farm. The gay celebration at the end was stupid though, so was the story. Obviously he forgot we just watched a video of the story he tells at the end.

  • In this world you are able to say what you want...................and that says alot about you and who you are..................But 2 things. If it maks you mad dont watch. Also this is what we do. I dont come down and tell you how to live. That as nice as you'll see it. What ru doing watching this anyway? Pickin a fight?

  • Shooter did a good job. But damn. You need to get that cameraman on track...

  • wow.nice shootin.liked the called too

  • way to go

  • Nice sirs anyone with something bad to say is either a child or lives in the city and hates there life...Good hunting was that a turkey call or a rabbit if a rabbit call u lie about turkey scouting

  • Instead of wiley coyote it's "pile'-y coyote.

Classic "leaving your buddy a cell phone message" fail too! ROFL!!!!!!!

  • Can you eat a coyote? or do you think it would be better to make the hide into something?

If I shoot one I'd just like to use some part of it.

  • No, Coyote are no good to eat, you either Leave them Lay or skin them. Hide rite now(here in Ohio) is only like $25... Mabey even less.

  • If I ever killed one I'd take its fur, and then bury the remains and dig up and clean the bones later. That way I get the fur and the skeleton and the rest can rot and 'go back to nature'. That way you aren't wasting anything. Even if you just left the coyote out it will be eaten by scavengers or decompose, so no 'waste' there either.

  • nice!!!

  • Yeaaaaah!! Two Dogs! Atta Way!

  • jackass running the cAMERA

  • i shot a coyote with 1 shot

  • your a fucking lyer. shut up haha

  • wow i know a lot of people that can shoot a coyote with one shot...

  • WICKED SHOOTIN

  • Nice shooting' lads, but you might want to put your cell on vibrate next time LOL!!!

  • joelvaldovinos,

would you rather have two dead coyoties or alot of dead rabits, baby deer, and other small critters

  • nice shooting

  • You get a life, hypocrite. Make a choice, buddy... Control the numbers thru hunting, let them over-populate resulting in disease and starvation, OR you can bulldoze your home. You know, the one you had built on stolen animal habitat.

STFU and get your ass to Safeway... They're having a sale on beef...

  • @jmar1371 freakin awesome man....whoever you were sayin that to, you burned em so bad

  • @JoelValdovinos Coyotes have grown so large in number they're actually becoming quite the problem, resulting in dead pets, livestock and in some cases people as well.

  • and why dont u grow a pair of balls u puss cake

  • 2 dead coyotes , means 2 live deer

  • Can I please point out that you are wrong, 2 dead coyotes = a hell of a lot more than 2 live deer becuase a coyote kills more than one deer in its lifetime. But this is only a good thing in some cases, ie when deer numbers are low, if deer numbers are high it is a bad thing as it leads to overpopulation.

  • @674367436743 not exactly. it could be 2 or 200 never know. whatever the numbers that means he just help the deer population

  • @674367436743 are you serious? you think a coyote can take dowm a deer? get out of your city apartment dumbass

  • @MrMoorlord you have no right to call anyone a dumbass you stupid cunt, I've seen a coyote take down a healthy deer, granted it was a younger deer but they have been known to take down older ones, but maybe before you start insulting other people you should get your fucking facts straight you fucking retard, why don't you get out of your city apartment you inbred cousinfucker

  • @MrMoorlord

You might want to get out of yours because coyotes take them down alot. I personally saw two start to take a six pointer down until shot them so yes coyote hunting is wildlife preservation because they are overpopulated now and cause all sorts of problems.

  • @MrMoorlord

    Ive seen it moron.

  • @674367436743 No.. 2 dead coyotes means alot more then 2 live deer..

  • very nice shocked that the second one slowed down for the next shot

  • you know the best time to shoot a coyote.....when you see one

  • poor

  • Awesome good job!

  • stupid tree huggers... stick to hugging trees and saving whales.. leave people alone who like to hunt. Coy dogs are a menace and good for nothing but killen

  • Jealous?

  • if you people dont want us shooting these things then why do you even watch the videos? get a life dousch bags.

  • It's plenty to be proud of; they just called in and killed two of the most intelligent and hardest to hunt creatures in North America. Those who weren't raised hunting; or arent into hunting; will never understand it. The animal lovers and those who think that its not an accomplishment should not even try to understand it; because they never will. Coyote hunting, turkey hunting, deer hunting, Hunting period is a passion that runs deep in a hunter's veins.

  • @finnlight2506 ok, enough with the born-and-raised shit... 2 dead coyotes is an accomplishment, but coyotes really arent that hard to kill, harder than many things, but not exceptionally difficult.

  • @finnlight2506

True, but I;ve never enjoyed hunting deer. I mean, they, to me, ar ejsut soemthign to eat, and are hunting for practical reasons.

Coyotes on the other hand, bring out the adrenaline and hunter vs hunter mentality that one has to experience to appreciate..and it's needed for farmers. coyotes are not your friend, and I get an excitement because I have livestock, cats, and dogs who have to live in fear every night here on the farm from them.and trust me to protect them. Ghandi farm?

  • @finnlight2506 okay dr. phil

  • @finnlight2506 Hahaha....all you have to do is buy a predator call from your local gun shop, let it rip in some field and sometimes in a matter of minutes coyotes come charging in after the call. Any brain dead human being can do that and kill a yote. I wouldnt even consider it hunting. If you cant/dont eat the animal you kill, its considered a waste in my eyes. 99% of the people shooting coyotes do it just so they can kill and get some adrenaline rush. Stupid.

  • @jeedo31 if any brain dead idiot can do it you should have no problem filmin a hunt for all of us morons to see..and not in some state like wyo or new mex where you can`t drive to town without hitting one, matter of fact you are welcome to come to ohio and I`ll film it for you.I`ll go as far as provide my savage .223, your pick of my calls and promise to try not to laugh as you try.....

  • @jeedo31 i eat the meat, and you can eat the meat. all of it is edible as is deer. you get money off the hide and help preserve the wildlife. I hunt fo a living sooo go fuck off.

  • it is not a great achievement to shoot a coyote. it is like buying cheese in the supermarket. i still don't get what these guys are so excited about. are they stupid?

  • I'm pretty sure those creatures killed my Mother's cat, There have been Coyote sightings everywhere and more and lost cats. The cat wasn't even supposed to be outside and those F'ers just had to be out. So cry me a river but I'm going to enjoy killing every Coyote I see from now on and keeping their pelts.

  • Like I said, "justification" for the "enjoyment" of killing. Proves my point.

  • what can i say, when it coems to controlling the population, killing is justified. You can rationalize it how you want and judge others but killing those things has it's uses even if you stubbornly refuse to recognize them.

  • yours too.

  • *rolls eyes* yeah, good one.

  • I'm not saying that you should stop killing coyotes. I just can't understand why some people seem to think that it is a great achievement to shoot one of them. Would you be impressed if I told you that I went to the supermarket to buy some cheese today? See ... you may enjoy shooting coyotes or it may even be necessary to do so, but it is nothing to be proud of.

  • Shooting a moving target at a far enough distance is an achievement. finding the right stand up wind, with the sun at your back and plenty of concealment so you won't be noticed is an achievement. having the patience and making an effective call is an acievement and keeping their numbers small so they stay out of a kids backyard is an achievement. but I understand your point and respect it.

  • It's great achievement because they are rarely seen, intelligent, and not easy to hunt

  • My point exactly. They want to kill for killings sake. No other reason, really. Just "justification" comments for the "thrill of the kill" mentality.

Me, I'm just a "hippie" who wants to live in peace with the animals.

  • I have never had an interest in killing anything before, but I guess I'm just a hippe who has been mugged...and also happens to be a good shot. Coyotes ahve become a menace and considering I live in the East, they are not even native to this land and certainly not endangered. Too many idiots don't secure their trash or straight out feed the things leading them to associate humans with food. They are aggressive and have also become a threat to my 2 and 3 year old nephew/niece. they r a menace

  • yea kill those fucking coyotes and also kill squirrels and birds

  • dear janeaustinadmirer first off you have no idea the thrill you get out of hunting any game thats reasoning why i do it. i also eat everything i kill, if i dont want to eat it i dont shoot it, thats my morales, anyway and about your dog, does your dog like playing with the coyotes too? case if that happens you wont have a dog very much longer, the coyotes will "play" with your dog and lure it into he woods then he the shit outta him. cheers :)

  • Kill all the fuckers haha, nice shooting guys

  • you guys need to learn how to call, there shouldnt be any hooping or hollering, keep calling even after you shoot, we've called several in even after shooting at or downing other coyotes

  • Thanks for the tip. We do it in the right situation and with some success too. But that was the first ever on video, a pretty challenging feat- show me your vids!!

  • How sad. Personally, I provide support (food) for a small band of coyotes that live in the desert area close to my house. I enjoy watching them in the evening and so does my dog.

For me, I don't believe in killing anything. We all share this planet together. The peaceful path is the better path.

  • stupid fuckin hippie.....

  • That's right. A "hippie" and proud of it. Live and let live, that is the standard I live by.

    Thank you!

  • Look, as much as you "feel" nice that you dont kill...You are lying to yourself. Life MUST feed off life in order to sustain life. Weather that life is plants and fuits, or meat of an animal. By the way, have you ever had antibiotics ? Those diseases have just as much right to live as YOU do dont they? Do you brush your teeth, shower, walk on the grass, kill house flys? What about lice in your hair, or ticks? Crabs in your **** after all your free love? Dont all them have the SAME rights?

  • janeaustinadmirer. Provide me with your name and location so I can report you to the CO's. You are disturbing the natural cycle of nature! So I agree, you indeed are very sad!

Learn about conservation before posting such idiotic comments. Many different species of animals need to be controlled when population numbers are on the rise. By disturbing natures cycle, you may be saving a coyotes life today, but your destroying hundreds of rabbits and other animals coyotes feed on over many years!!

  • your dog will be dead one morning.

  • Well, I guess all you hunters are a little upset! All I said was, "live and let live". As for my dog, when I said that we watch the coyotes, we are watching from behind a chain link fence. The coyotes are not interested in my dog. It has been over two years now, and ALL MY NEIGHBORS enjoy the wildlife in this area. Rabbits, quail, birds, and coyotes. Each has their place in the eco system.

    Just don't believe in killing.

  • All right, smart to keep your dog separated. Not every Hunter shoots with his gun you know. It's also wise to bring a nice camera because sometimes the situation calls for that instead.

  • That was good man! The dogs in my area are call shy and that first shot would have killed any shot at another one! Good job and awesome shot!

  • Great job guys! Grats.

  • haha it's a dog...

  • Garcia: I understand your not understanding what you see. I too was as ignorant as you are about the role hunters play in wildlife conservation (keeping predators #'s controlled because if unchecked, coyotes/bobcats create havic) until I did my research. Go do some research (google) and then you will be able to make an intelligent post. Your comment's are sick and border criminal. Your McDonalds cow suffers far more so you can take your family out for a burger. Learn & you will have peace.

  • MAD AND PSYCO.

    this is what you are.

  • Garcia: Are you still looking in the mirror my short fat and stinky illegal alien?

  • Good job dudes!!

  • i need to learn how to do the call so loud, very good vid rating 5 stars.

  • I like how you yell "Yeeeeeaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!" at 1:45 or so then shoot the other one again. Awesome

  • Wow the first time I have seen wounded rabbit calling. I had heard years ago that it was effective for coyotes. Apparently they used to sell cassette tapes with it so you could use your battery operated cassette player while hunting for coyotes.

  • lol well done nice shooting!!

  • Very nice me and my step brother have been hunting a pack of 6 for about a weekbut the only tie we see them is when we dont have a gun

  • Very nice.

  • where can i get that distressed rabitt thing

  • Where are the head shots at 600-700 metres? Amateurs

  • if rick and jerrod were turkey scouting, y did they have a .270 with them???

  • In case they saw a coyote, duh
