Haha none taken. I'll admit it, my computer sucks so bad I can't even play Half-life 2 or counter-strike Source on it without it being really slow. Time for an upgrade.

Yeah honestly these days you would only have to pay about $400 AUD for a decent source playing computer. (thats with operating system)

Well if I was gonna go all out for a gamingh computer I'd have to go with some quad core pentium processors and top of the line equipment. I'd wanna make sure I could run crysis, farcry 2 and diablo 3 perfectly.

Well if your serious You would go out and buy a Q6600, But then Ditch Nvidia and go for ATI and get a HD4870/50 (best card on the market atm.

And then get 4 gig ram and a decent MOBO and that would cost around $700(AUD).

If you wanted to start from scratch and wanted to build a custom computer better than any alienware shit, it'd cost $3k-4k depending on certain aspects. It ain't cheap.

Ummm if u wanted a decent crysis high detail running comp it only costs liek $1000 from scratch.

thats with case and power supply included.

It depends. 1000 ain't enough for what I'd want to get. I'd want to build a skull computer (very top of the line stuff) but it costs way too much. I wouldn't want something that can barely handle crysis, I'd want it to run crysis (farcry 2 even) at a good 60 fps on maximum/ultra settings, ya know :D.

I just built mine for exactly 1000 dollars from scratch..Abit Ip35 Pro motherboard, Q6600 @ 3.0 Ghz, 8800 GT single slot edition (evga), Rosewill 750 watt PSU, 4 gigs transcend ram (2x2 gb)..... and some cheep ass rosewill case.. like 25 bucks that i tricked out

When I bought it it came in a package deal that cost me $49.95 and gave me 13 or 14 other games but since Valve released the orange box, that package isn't available any more. Now they offer the valve complete pack which comes with 20+ games including the orange box ones for $89.95
