The Taliban outlawed music another activity which people enjoy around the world and, in most cases, people have to pay money to listen to music. Once again the US government is trying to regulate us to death. We fight Muslim countries to protect rights of people and at the same time limit our own freedoms.
@garyram25 Well said. If there was a way to meter the amount of rain we receive, they would find a way to bill us. It's time to vote these jerks out of office and put someone in that will work only for We The People and not special interests. We must verify before we trust any of our elected representatives.
It is essential that all those in favor of online poker speak up and contact their representatives and tell them how you feel about this great sport. It is obvious that there are those of our elected looking for a way to not only control online gambling, but see it as a huge revenue source. Most all of the online sites are more than compliant and fair to their players and have a great overall record of self enforcement. Like the Internet itself, we have to fight for our freedoms. God Speed John
This is outrageous. In the US we are free to buy alcohol, synthetic Heroin (Pain Pills),
synthetic Amphetamine (Adderall - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) and even marijuana for minor pains. Yet I cannot take $25 of my own money and play poker on my computer on my private property. I own 2 poker sites myself. I can take out my phone and bet on a horse race anywhere in the world. No poker? Somebody please tell me one thing the government does better than the private sector other than TAX!
As a New Yorker, I have to admit that California is not my favorite state in our country, but I also have to admit that I admire the liberal environment that it provides to it's residents. Yes, their legalization of medicinal marijuana is not being properly regulated, because it is being unnecessarily over prescribed, but California basically acts as its own nation that is not governed by the politically correct. At least there is still a piece of America that truly does stand for freedom.
@HoldUpOneTime I have no issue with the medicinal marijuana. In my opinion narcotic pain killers are a much larger problem than weed. Pain Pills? Meth? War over oil? Ill take a game of poker any day. They shut down Pokerstars, fulltilt and Absolutepoker today.. I dont see the difference in making a poker wager from your computer as being any different than placing a bet on a horse race over your telephone. TVG accounts are all over the US. Trump For President !!!
