  • I've had my nook for about 3 months now and I'm overall pretty happy with it. Biggest downside is the battery life which is mainly due to the lcd screen. This really bugged me as the screen lost it's cool factor after a few days. BUT, I "hacked" my nook with nookdevs and it's badass now. New interface, apps ect.

  • The Nook was pretty difficult to get out of the final plastic layer! I'm sure alot of people agree too because on all of the unboxing videos I've seen everyone struggles with it.

  • Just ordered my Nook yesterday...I cant wait to get it =)

  • Haha, I don't like to read instructions either.

I just go straight to it thinking I know how already.

2:23 - They have the same secured thing with the Apple iPods. Its really hard to get out.

I am excited because I am getting my first nook in the next month.

  • Waiting for mine... this is the cutest thing, resorting back to the instructions....lol

  • Hope you enjoy it!

  • my cousin has a nook,, but i like my kindle better.

  • I have both...but each has its strengths and weaknesses.

  • i ordered mine today but I have to wait until February 12 =/

  • I can NOT get my plastic box open on my Nook...lol!

  • I just shot a similar video...although much more impromptu. I never saw the instructions for opening...I took about 40 seconds of prying on mine to get it open. Not my most graceful moment caught on tape!

  • Wow...instructions on how to get the Nook out of the box!?!? Now I'm even more excited then EVER! I get my Nook Janurary 11, and i am antisapating *Dont know how to spell that* it. I ordered it in November and i have been anxiously waiting for it. Im SUPER excited for my Nook, and can't wait till i get to open my Nook, i may need you helpp...haha...SUPER EXCITED(:!

  • please note that i didnt pay much attention to the instructions i kinda skimmed but then i did look at them and it didnt help much lol only kinda hahaha but its funny watching other people struggle getting it open so i know im not the only retard out there hahaha trying to get this thing open and it seeming difficult lol

  • LOL. I'm not big on reading instructions either...but this was one package I wouldn't have been able to open without reading them.

  • Hope you enjoy your nook...I am pretty happy with mine!

  • I probably would have broken that Nook with the frustrating packaging it came in. The Nook looks cool, but I'll still with the Kindle.

  • Looks way nicer than those ugly kindles

  • how do u put pdf files on the nook"? Basically, how is the pdf support? Actually, how do you put any files on the nook.

  • PDFs can be transferred to the Nook using your computer and the supplied USB cable. Books at the B&N store can be transferred to the Nook wirelessly.

  • thanks for the vid. Glad u got it out with out breaking it! Got mine today and love it. Does epub and secure ereader now I can get my books at fictionwise!

  • No frustration free packaging for the Nook! At 2:34 I was worried you were going to break it trying to get it out!!

  • Yeah, I thought so too...I even edited out the most frustrating parts to keep this video G rated! ;-)
