  • Now Mindscape fuck up Mad Max the Movie.

  • thumbs up if you think that bethesda should work on a mad max remake

  • @chris12783 i agree cause rage was a great game and was very similar to mad max so the match would be perfect all they really need to do is keep the environment with a few changes to relate to the movie design the character max and his car and give him his shotgun and boom mad max the game

  • @chris12783 Dude my thoughts exactly it would make an amazing premise

  • @jackhovatter yeah look at what they did with fallout they could do even better with mad max.

  • Well, I'm glad I've never played this game. Mindscape was indeed a horrible video game company back in the day. If Nintendo of America knew better back then, Capcom, Konami, Taito, and Nintendo themselves should have been the only companies to makes video games on the NES.

  • @Loader2K1 If that was the case then there would be no Tecmo Bowl, Nija gaiden etc etc

  • @TheBerginton: My bad. I should have said that Nintendo of America should have just had video game companies Japanese in origin making games for the NES. While Japanese video game companies have made crappy games on the NES, too, their track record of good ones easily outclass the bad ones made my LJN, Ocean, Mindscape, MicroProse, and Acclaim.

  • @Loader2K1 Acclaim never make a shitty game. And never will.

  • @cameron20101000: Acclaim has a history of making bad games, although, to be fair, the developers they contract have made more bad games than Acclaim did in-house.

  • @Loader2K1 Acclaim games from Mid to Late 90s, Early to Mid 2000s, they make good games, especially Turok and Shadow Man and Vexx, they are good games

You basically saying, compnays owned by Acclaim like LJN made a bunch of shitty games between the 80s and Early 90s

  • @cameron20101000: Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. Acclaim had a few bad games during the mid to late '90s as well, but yeah, Turok, Shadow Man, and Vexx, were good games.

  • pause at 1:22 or 1:21

  • What is the song called at the end?

  • You have no map right? Well if the level looked different, then you would be frustrated then what you are now, if it looks the same, then you know where to go

  • I've played this when I was a pre-teen and it wasn't all that and a bag of chips. Great review!

  • Hmm...does this sound like AVGN???

  • I had such high hopes for this game... Ugh

  • haha, i get it....its just like the AVGN.

  • 90s... FUCK YEAH!

  • I was a beta tester on this game back in 89. The Mindscape home office was a couple of miles from my parents' house and they'd have warehouse sales occasionally, where my parents signed me up for the testing. They gave me a Famicom and a near finished version of the game to play for a week to critique, and in exchange I would get two free Mindscape NES games. I absolutely HATED everything about the game.

  • @shwanzi cont'd

When I returned the Famicom to them there was a Q&A with two other beta testers I had to participate in. The other 2 guys kissed the Mindscape people's asses and told them it was the best game ever. I was completely honest and told them I thought it sucked and what they could do to make it better. They acted all interested in what I said, but in the end they ignored me, shafted me on the free games and left me out of the beta tester credits. I'm not sad Mindscape went under.

  • @shwanzi Do you know who composed the game's music?

  • @Doommaster1994 Unfortunately not. I only talked to a programmer and one of Mindscape's marketing people.

  • @shwanzi You wouldn't happen to remember the programmer's name do you?

  • @Doommaster1994 Not really. That was back in 1989/1990. I can barely remember yesterday. LOL.

  • @shwanzi Two free Mindscape games?!!??!!

That isn't even worth the playtesting!!! They should have let you get two free sunsoft game

  • The manual to this game has the first level's map. Great review as always filmnstuff

  • I like how you allowed me to feel the boring sameness of the game's graphics by showing a still shot of the same fucking car for half the video.

  • Sometimes or most of the times when the AVGN reviews a game, he can over react on them so fast and so aggressive that it's always not funny to listen to anyone talk like that. So in my opinion, at some times, the AVGN can be funny when he swears, but he always gets too carried away with it, losing humor. Filmnstuff makes more logical reviews while at the same time being funny and hilarious. Just saying. Cool review!

  • Only the AVGN can be funny using swear words...

  • Ljn is the worst when it comes to companies who make film based video games.Ocean and Mindscape come in at 2nd & 3rd.

  • What was Vivaldi's score at 6:57-7:20?

  • Haaa "Lethal BlowJobs"

  • Is this a shotgun or a klingon disruptor?? Christ the guy f--king disintegrates! :D:D:D:D:D this is awesome shit man lol.

  • it's an alright review but he sounds like he's trying to mimic the avgn.

  • @IchigoAnt Typical AVGN fanfuck. -.-

  • Mad Max=Hard Truck Apocalipse

  • did i accidentally invade the fucking shire?!

    lol man. your funny.

  • Just played this shit and it's horrible :s

  • It's funny you mention Spy Hunter because I've said the same thing. If the driving parts were like that, it would rock! They start you off near 'E' probably to be like 'The Road Warrior'.

Note: Technically, Max only fought Blaster. One possible reason Max sympathized with Blaster is because one of his wife's relatives (I think) in the original was sort of a mongoloid, so Max (like Master) took pity on Blaster because he had a similar hereditary condition.

  • It's like a mix of the Amiga games Techno Cop and Road Raider.

  • Oh wait, it is actually an NES port of the game Road Raider.

  • @OpticalFascism Without canned slu! ;.(

  • like the car sprite :)

  • The real Mad Max game is Outlander for Sega Genesis, try it and rec a review if you like it ;)

  • There is a map of the first level in the game's manual. Also, this game's from the same guys who made Dirty Harry, Gray Matter. (Sorry I may comment on this a lot).

  • Comment removed

  • they did make a very similar setting based video game, its called fall out 3. very cool

  • avgn wannabe

  • @retroman360

No, Irate Gamer is an AVGN wannabe, this guy is actually pretty entertaining and was able to hold my interest for the entire review.

  • My local game store has this game in the box. I'm gonna be really stupid and buy it.

  • wtf is with these midgets did I accidently invade The Shire? is Frodo going to suck my willie?

  • I like this game. It's just really frustrating.

  • i liked this review you have very insightful things to say.

  • Isn't the desert supposed to look the same? I'm not trying to be a prick and argue but I think it adds to the feel of the enviroment,

  • Please rename this video to "Let's rip off the AVGN".

  • Did lol

  • i played this.

    this WASN'T so bad

  • Check out a real good gamer: Cornshaq

  • Mindscape games??? Talk about MIND-FUCK!!!

  • Bomb Hurling Bolshlevik

  • Try outlander

  • I have this game....it's fuckin hard

  • Um, it is called...the movie.

    No gas?

Welcome to the world of Mad Max.

    No map?

    Too bad.

    Also, it is called AVGN.

  • Honestly, this game was horrible but the person reviewing this is either a complainer of just lazy. "why do I have to press select instead of start?" "why do I need a password?" At least you don't have to play the game from the beginning every time you pop it in. By the way, NES games came with instructions that told you things like the fact you needed gas and even included that precious map you said the game didn't have. By the way I'm still waiting for the humorous part of the profanity.

  • man nice review film and stuff nice i tried i trie d and i tried fukthis game

  • wtf kinda game did they put out

  • this for PS3? hahahaha

  • Wait?! They're going to put THIS game on PS3?

  • They better not make it shitty if this game is going to be put on PS3.

  • <3 your reviews man. This is the 2nd one i watched

  • when will you fuckheads realise that filmnstuff and AVGN is 2 different people

  • The only difference I can see is this gentleman is trying to hard.

  • filmnstuff i saying "fuck" and "fucking" more then AVGN and the AVNG is making reviews of more interesting things for me like star trek games and simpsons games he also haves a intro

  • the sad part about this game i still remember the master code HUMU

  • they disinagrate? WTFS

  • 3rd one was american mate first and second where australian

  • this game sucks nice reveiw

  • Hey... books, hamburgers and maps are GONE. You could DRAW a map. And yeah, in the movies there's nothing else but dessers. Maybe adapting MadMax is risky because it's ALL desserts, or it wouldn't fit into the series. Sure, some decayed cities would be something. Not having gas at the start, that's like in the movie. So the beginning is a pain but 'true to the source' har har har...

  • Are there any good Mindscape games at all?

  • Good question, coruscant100

  • i love to hear angry critics on shitty games.

  • Finally someone who feels my rage on this game.

    Great review

  • I actually liked Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, though it was the least well known in the trilogy. We Don't Need Another Hero!

  • WE WANT A NEW MAD MAX GAME!!!!!!!!

    It could be so great.

  • and what would we need on it? better car gameplay, better fps stages and more sense.

  • I saw this game at many video rental stores I never once rented it something told me not too... man thnak god for my italian senses!

  • Great movie, horrible fucking game. I mean, you fight insane midgets but no Lord Humungous, Wez, and no Feral Kid with the crazy boomerang? Man, Mindscape did a helluva job raping one of the greatest action films of all time, didn't they?

  • HOW WAS IT BAD?

  • Did the same thing to Dirty Harry.

  • Well, I kinda like this game. And great review!

  • is this a shotgun or a klingon disruptor lol

  • Man, they ruined what could have been a great action game

    Up yours, Mindscape!

  • your nes reviews are fucking awsome

  • At least this is the straight dope. Nothing flashy. Thats what I like. I like this. I support this brand.

  • Yet another guided tour of a shit-brown chapter in gamin' history, thankfully almost forgotten. Thanks for playin' this piece of crap so we don't have to, filmnstuff. I' ve been looking forward to a new episode!

  • Great Review. I love the movie - Hate the game.

  • The only good game off the top of my head that Mindscape made was PaperBoy.

  • Nice to see another vid!!!!! Good job filmnstuff!

  • In a weird way, this game feels like a really bad NES version of Grand Theft Auto 3.

  • Agree.

    BTW great reviews.

    Keep it up

  • @filmnstuff

Your right! Sadly this is so bad it wouldn't qualify shit, but well.

  • @filmnstuff do you know Claude Speed from Grand Theft Auto 3?

  • @filmnstuff is it just me or this game has an uncanny resemblance to a game called MOTOR MASSACRE on Atari 1040 st?

  • @rka18282 All the games Mindscape developed on the NES are blatant rip-offs of another game.

  • Hey, I liked the third one. xD My Youtube name mean anything? It was more hilarious than anything else.

I vaguely remember this game when I played it as a kid, but I do remember that it was shit. And shit it is. As bad as this is, I'd rather play THIS than Knight Rider on the NES.

GOD. Knight Rider. My favorite show when I was a kid, and it was raped by ACCLAIM. Those bastards.

Master Blaster....what? Master Blaster runs Barter Town.

  • Yeah, Knight Rider was worse. I couldn't even stand more than one level in that game.

  • Awesome review. Christ, I hate Mindscape.

  • I remember owning this game and the driving controls which drove me insane.

  • That was a fantastic review!! I look foward to another review!!

  • Awesome Review =]

    You should do newer games?

  • I would love to do reviews of newer games, but right now I can't afford a next-gen system, a DVD recorder or a Gamebridge.

  • wow. that sucks. I hope you'll do more SNES reviews.

  • @redice1024 I like him reviewing old games.

  • Gewd stuff.
