@cathalb101 My thoughts exactly. This trailer summarized nearly everything. The only thing different is that the trailer includes some deleted scene footage.
Would love to see a sequel to this movie. At the end when the paddywagons come to take down JT Marlin, would like to see the guys getting out of jail at the beginning of the sequel and going back to selling stocks.
Ribisi owned this film. Don't waste your time with Shia lebarf in Wallstreet 2. This movie is a high 8 or 9 on a scale or 1 to 10. You wanna see good acting, watch this movie for Giovani's performance.
The solution to crimes like these would be for supermarkets to stop selling food, water companies to turn off the water, doctors and nurses to stop providing medical care, and utility companies to turn off the electricity and gas for stockbrokers and Wall Street bankers. Simple. Just stop doing business with them.
Jordan Belfort.. who this movie is based on.. said his stock brokers would NEVER be caught dead riding around in a bus.. it was Stretch Limo's all the way
Ok I am checking everybody's comments here this film must be good by what you say plus the trailer and i was a big fan of Wall Street, so I will buy this and the fact that it is underrated appeals to me more.
i have to agree that this is a cool and classic film about young wall street firm in over their heads by being corrupt. but i thought ben affleck was so good he had the best lines in the movie...my favorite is anyone who says money is the root of all evil doesnt fucking have any. lol very unrated classic and i am glad this was loaded up on youtube
It's in the tradition of Glengarry Glennross, which is a must see masterpiece. Here, Ribisi is excellent--smooth and believable in the role, Affleck complements A Baldwin from GGR, and Diesel and the rest are pretty good too. My only complaint, film's end was abrupt--you don't get to see a perp walk which would have been satisfying. Recommend it but don't forget to see GGR!!!
Boiler room brokers have two goals on any given day: make as much money as possible and avoid being arrested....good thing i found this movie online at
its greathow my friends watched this movie and they are trying desperatly to become rich BWUAHAHHAHAHAHA i love it how they try to be like this movie HAHAHAHHAHAA
From your screen name I can guess you are 31 born in 78
I was born in 79 and i am 30 and yes I am rich thanks to dreaming and having the balls to go for it..
I take it your one of the many 31 year old haters working at BK thinking nothing good can ever happen.. and yes nothing good ever happens because you don't have the ball to dream and your a natrual born hater.
u fucking TURD i dont hate my friends ALL i said was thanks to this movie they all want to be in the staock trade market U fucking turdt I dont hate. i got my own. you on the other hand get keep dreamming you are the trump. besides this is my last post towards you for you arent worth my time nor mb. so see ya big bussiness whore hahahahahaha
u are rich behind a screen in real life u are a fucking beggar. i hold my own and you arent the first one nor the last But you clearly belong in the loosers camp. hahahahaha you want a dollar?
Boiler room like other movie like that were very very seriously underrated and not promoted on media, and i wonder why maybe because somebody up there desires to leave this world in dark
And i just remembered that the movie starts off with the text; "This film is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places and incidents are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to the names or characters of actual persons or businesses, or to events or locales, are entirely coincidental and unintended"
Top film... great cast.. great acting... but right now, I am listening to a CD,
of the soundtrack, recorded by The Angel(?).... fucking great music.
if you like Trip-Hop, David Holmes etc... this OST, is the best CD, I have
bought this year... got it from an Oxfam shop, £1.99... go figure?...

It's based on the real story of the company Stratton Oakmont and it's boss Jordan Belfort, and the book's name is Wolf Of The Wall Street
