Omg I love a man who knows how to build stuff, more so build stuff for kitty cats he obviously loves a lot and works in his barefeet! My kinda guy. That looks like a very fun project to try. How much about would it cost for all the materials? I know those big cardboard tubes are pretty expensive.
1)Don't forget the handiclamps in the tool-overview-shot on your next one.
2)If you have any suggestions for best ways/places to get sonotube (left over at construction sites? if not, where to purchase) and carpet (do carpet places ever have scraps? carpet installers?) let us know your secrets.
3)Don't overlook any other secrets like the hot-glue-works-best-in-dots-when-applied techniques, that was really helpful
@randombuddha1 Thanks for the input. Good eye noticing there were no hand clamps in the begining. It was because I was recycling video from the fisrt cat tree video.....Busted....I guess I wont try that again. As for the Sonotube: Home Depot was 9 dollars for a 12 X 4 tube. I got my carpet from Summit carpets in Lake Tahoe. I will take all this into consideration when making How to Make a 6 foot cat tree. Again thanks for watching and commenting.
Hey, that's a great, mellow and well-explained video. A couple of questions and suggestions.
Q: What's the best way you've found for affixing the sisal rope at both ends? In the middle wraps, did you add any points of staples (I'm guessing not because they could hurt the cats) or hot glue, to keep it in place?
Q: Where did you get your sonotube and what size was it? (i.e. do they measure it in diameter or radius, and what size(s) work best for cat trees
awesome!!!
