Cool video, I guess but I agree, it needs a bigger cage. We had the same problem with our hamster, but in ALL the books, it says the reason why he qnaws on the wiresis because he is bored. Just put some see-saws or tunnels there, then she should be fine. If you want to see cute and REALLY funny videos, see mine, just click on my name. Visit my site, too!
The cage that is on this video is actually much bigger than it appears and is multi levels. She loves her cage. However we are upgrading to a bigger cage because she is getting so much bigger than we expected. She also, doesn't chew on plastic....only the bottom half of the cage is plastic for easy cleaning reasons. She is so spoiled that when she wants out to play she does this little protest.... it makes us laugh but she always gets her way!!!
I bet that little bugger starts chewing on the plastic part of the cage and makes a whole, you really need an all metal cage, hamsters are the best escape artists ever.
Oh she's cute!!!

She is a Syrian Short Haired Hamster but not a Teddy Bear Syrian. Teddy Bears have long hair.

That poor little hamster needs a bigger cage! 100 cm x 40 cm at least! And no plastic in it! Plastic is REALLY dangerous for hamsters!
