  • That is the nuclear power plant warning system it is required to test its system once a week.

  • All these old air raid sirens were put in sericice here from the 50'- 70's during the cuban missle crisis. So after that ended some were left up fo other reasons

  • XD, you can braley see it.

  • WARNING. Hitchhikers may be ESCAPED CONVICTS!

  • @Ralastar Yeah i saw one today in tyler

  • why would you put a school across form a jail. must be a short feild trip to show students what jail would be like.

  • @train2589 theres another place where a school is next to jail cool they did that where i live to i go to high school and the jail is right next to us

  • when is the time and day it is tested

  • blackgam that a thunderbolt 1000

  • alot of the Juvis go to bayside yeah those are right over the bayside bridge thats by 49th street near Mikes Pizza well it used to be

  • Shouldn't they use Attack for lockdowns?

  • I use to live in Pinellas and the first time I heard that thing I was driving by and I freaked lol I locked my doors and rolled up the windows of my car lol I thought some one went over the wall lmao

  • Who the fuck builds a prison across the street from a school? :|

  • @furghable Umm...the school was built AFTER the jail...PCSO has been there LONG before that school was even thought of.

  • @Mauhadeeb28 oh, well, in that case, who the hell builds a school across the street from a prison? :|

  • @Furgable Government. Thats who.

  • I'm going to record this one this coming up Friday while we're here on vacation in Pinellas County. They still test every Friday at noon right?

  • fick Pinellas County!! The lamest county in the entire world!

  • This siren is not used for severe weather?

  • wow I've never heard this thing.

    I feel very unobservant now.

  • Does this thing still test Fridays at noon? TBolt's are my fav and I gotta see this one when my summer break comes!! :D

  • @TWCZach Yes I work about a mile away and if you are outside at noon on fridays you can hear it.

  • they test it every friday so that they know it still works because it wouldnt do much good in a prison break if it didnt work

  • WHOA!!! I just saw this a few days ago! And i live north of it! :D

  • @EvanToTheFutureDude Can you hear it from where you live and how far?

  • i am pretty amased, tons of different siren signals in the usa - in case of an attack, you are pretty confused, is it tornado warning, prison escape or, oh, its an atomic attack. in germany, all warning sires are same manufactor and same signal. every 4 year old can tell you, fire, civil emergency or nature event, "normal attack", abc-attack (atomic - biologic - chemical). maybe someone could upload a german siren test. - the abc alert is pretty scary.

  • I SEE IT

  • weres that

  • Suburb of Tampa

  • in the jail here some1 broke out and the siren went off i thought we were under attack!

  • I had to hear this thing every day for ten months

  • its for an escape.

  • I'm happy I found out that thing is there. I thought the only Thunderbolts in Florida were the ones in Jacksonville that they took down.

  • Was it a test or the real thing? I live in Ormond Beach and we don't have anything like that around here.

  • What streets?

  • Well..not specifically for that purpose.. the main reason they make them is for tornado warnings

  • i was in there aint nothin fun about that shit

  • gcbyna1 - Yu dont go to bayside. We only have 4 classes. Yu fail.

and we get put on lockdown if there is a jailbreak. we wuldnt be fucked.

  • hahaha I go to bayside right acrossed tha street I hear that shit on fridays and some otha days, mostly in 5th period shits loud az fuck

  • nah i think the Warrning siren in the Sydney CBD sounds better. this siren sounds like a really loud vacuum

  • WhenI first heard this in my town I was like "PYRAMID HEAD!" lol

  • if it near a prison or mental hospital

it more likely use in the invent of an escape/brakeout and it vary dangerios

to have a school in the area

  • I work near here. When I first started hearing it 2 years ago I thought it was a tornado siren. I'm from St Pete, Florida, but spent 8 years in central Kansas. Every month they would test the tornado sirens across town. I wondered why I only heard it here in Clearwater. So if you live outside of audible range, you could be in danger. LOL

  • I use to live by there. And at first it scared the hell out of me cause I didn't know wtf was going on. Tornado, air attack or jail out break.lol. Scary noise until you know it's just a test they do every darn friday. If only I knew then, lol.

  • the high school is a secondary school which is were they send all of the dangerous kids as it is anyway so if a prison break does occur they could hold their own ground. some of the kids have been sent to the prison as well.

as for the siren going off its a test so that if heaven forbid somone does get out they know it works.

  • if there was a prison break the teachers would say ALRIGHT GRAB THE RIFLES

  • they would be in danger during prison escape

  • vary dangerios the peaple over that fence

are no one you want have milling around on the outside dangerios indeed and morely with the school

  • If it goes off every friday at noon, its most likely just them testing to make sure that it is functioning properly

  • my school has a shelter in place drill

  • We have them everywhere where I'm at for tornadoes, our test goes off at 10AM first Tue. of the month. I heard a weird sounding one in Hawaii the tone was really high pitch. Someone there told me they use them for hurricanes and tsunamis warnings.

  • thay also use thim for trainyard chemical

    spill or propane gas explosion

from train tanker at the yard

    and milltary waepons depot explosion

  • THEY DO THIS EVERY FRIDAY AT NOON

  • I lived in Winter Haven Florida for 14 years, and I've never even heard of a tornado siren until I came to Indiana, but that does sound like a Tornado siren though.

  • if there was a prison break im sure the school would be put on lock down

  • Well listen I go to Bayside and its not for Remedial students aiight.

  • and yet ur name is badddest mr big man

  • Nick Bollea

  • There is a school right next to the jail?

    Scary...

  • yes there is its called bayside high its a remedial school i believe much like oak park middle i live down the street from the jail and i have notice sirens or lack there of around the surrounding area of my house... but i will say i have 10 bail bonds places within a 6 block radias of my house

  • I work in Pinellas Park and North St. Pete all the time. I've never noticed any sirens or ever heard this one. Does it still go off at noon?

  • if there was a break out the school would be put on lockdown and the 8 inch thick lead walls would come out of nowhere and seal off all the windows..... what do u think the school does with all the tax money they get

  • LOL. The criminals wouldn't like that.

  • This video is the jail facility with their weekly test. It is used in case of an escaped inmate. The school across the street would be in lockdown if such a matter arose. As for the sirens on the beach, I think they previously were used for tornado warnings or could have been used in case of nuclear trouble from the Citrus county power plant.

  • One more thing... I have lived in Pinellas all my life and have only heard the sirens on the beach been tested only once from what I know. That's one time in 26 years. Makes me wonder what will happen if there's tornado outbreak here.

  • ya I live right next to the long pier - are you talking about that siren next to the park across from the 7-11?

  • Yes. That's one of the two. The other is in St. Pete Beach near or on top of the old firehouse (near The Don I think). It's red in color from what I remember.

  • I've been living in Palm Harbor since January and I noticed a lack of sirens around here. Maybe it's just not big down here.

  • WHOA That Thunderbolt 1000 sure sounds pretty scary.

  • Yea they have them bitch there i been there alot of time

  • I used to live in Pinellas County. Didn't know the jail had a siren. The Redington Beaches and St. Pete Beach have active sirens.

  • In Redington Beaches and St. Pete Beach when does the siren goes off???????

  • I'm not sure. But there is a Modulator in the Redington Beach Park on Gulf Blvd and an older siren on the St. Pete Beach Fire Station. Maidera Beach also has two 2T22's but I don't think they work anymore.

  • they work now

  • @backgam have u heard of the school in hilsborough berkeley prep?

  • nether did i i use to live down the street from the jail

  • I thought alot of florida didn't have sirens.

  • Did you read the comment ABOUT THIS VIDEO to the right of the video?

  • @backgam About bayside high school. yeah thats the place all the "undesirable" students get sent when they have caused too much of a disruption or cant finish high school on time.

  • @bethatonegirl I think these are required to have.

  • Well you're the one watching the video...speak for yourself.

  • excactly

  • Still, it's pretty awesome.

  • It sounds like a 1000.

  • It sounds like a Single Tone Thunderbolt and not a 1003

  • it sounds like a 1000

  • what modle siren was that?

  • I dont know it's too faw away to see it
