  • only one of the reasons i put up videos is that, there are people who hear only one of my videos and realize that there is more variety going on with what i do than just remembering the imperfections of one song. whatever those are. and they might check out another. i once used a funny opening line that went "excuse me, but do you have change for a nickel?" your nickel is short about 2 and a half cents,,nevermind, peace out

  • I know I added my 2 cents but here's another nickels worth. I did not want to imply that you cannot play well, indeed you can. This is a great song that has a story everyone can relate to in just over 2 minutes. great songwriting here. The playing distracts from this and had you done it simpler, slower and in the folky vibe of the original would have been a worthy cover of a great song. My critique also contains advice, not just criticism, and I applaud you for responding as a gentleman. play on

  • Great T-bone Burnett song that you absolutely murdered trying to impress us with your guitar skills. Go back and listen to the man's records, there's a reason they're so great, not because of flashy jam-as-many-notes in a phrase playing. Otherwise , not bad , but good God, man, less is always more unless you're Joe Satriani.

  • Excuse my French, but that is indeed bad ass!

  • great. t bone is probably my favourite song writer.

  • My me says yes to this song.

  • Great performance!5*

  • oh my never heard this before and it really is insightful

great lyrics - awesome playing! thanks james
