Two guitar gods Joe and Eric Czar on bass. It is hard to get any better than that...too bad they still aren't together. Czar just drives the hell out of the bottom on the song and with Joe on guitar what more could one ask for?
THIS is exactly what Joe B. has lost since he let The Caveman (Kevin Shirley) come aboard. He's enjoying great success and earning big money. At the expense of selling his soul to the 'devil'.
@komimakojaketu You hit the nail right on the head with that comment. He is a shadow of his former self. Sort of like Clapton since he became a pop artist instead of a guitar player.
The one person who disliked this has shit in their ears and sand in their blood. This is a perfect blend of technical mastery and raw improvised passion....
@TheKille22 Hammer on with your left hand, while sliding the right side of your right hand up the strings, damping them and making the harmonics sound. Works best with high gain and using bridge pickups. Van Halen does it, Joe Satriani does it. Sounds cool!! Try hammering more than two notes with left hand e.g. 3-5-3-7-3-5-3-7.
@mmrgsn it is all about touching the strings at the pickup area, and hammering the strings on the fingerboard. the best effect is acheaved on bridge pickup and with some kind of effect pedal like overdrive. so it is like 3-h5-3-h5-3-h5-3-h5 ('h' being hammer-on) while touching the strings with your right hand (type of harmonic, or so i think). i'm not a guitarist i just wanted to try it on bass and it works, a bit tougher but it works. sorry about my bad english!
None on the scene supercedes this blues rock master. Sounds come from his talent that are almost beyond human origin. Endless lethal licks that mesmerize the mind into soothing states of estacy. I feel awe struck into another world listening to this boy jam. He has mastered the sound settings for his equipment. I have heard no other guitarist on display on youtube, or in person that has their settings down so good. The boy has a wonderful voice of vintage blues sound that compliments it all.
In the effects instructional vid he refers to this song and says he uses 'the line 6' to get the cool strings effect, but doesn't say what kind of pedal it is.
So great to hear a guitarist that has SRV and Eric Johnson as his influences. I love the Eric Johnson like intro to this tune!! Joe Bonamassa is AWESOME!!!
IMHO, Joe Bonamassa is up there with Hendrix. Don't argue.

Great song. You have to check out the Studio Versions on Youtube. It's so much like Hendrix it's scary.

LOOOOOVE this video!!! Thank you very much!!
He was way better (best) around this time. I can't take anything what he is doing right now.
SAD. He lost his creative mind when he started playing only gibson, same sound and same licks over and over now. But I still love him.....
