Hahahahahaha so me and my friend had to do a power point about this ride for our science class and we had to have a video with it so we played this for the class and everyone was cracking up at the screaming kid. @360123man So what? Why so concerned about others? Robb Alvey has a long history of on-ride video against park policy. Big deal. He takes good video & offers much of it for free. I've taken video on many coasters since 82 and still do. I just returned from a 5 park PA. tour & took video on several coasters against park policy. This policy is good since most can't handle a camera on-ride, making it dangerous for other riders. I can handle it. I bring my camcorder on in my pocket. My business.

My only gripe with the Phantom's Revenge, is that they should never have taken out the loops that the original STEEL PHANTOM had. By far the best roller coaster in the park. Possibly the best ride in the entire park.

I have to admit, that kid was annoying, but this is a very intense ride, 85mph, and its also very tall, and that kid sounded like he was 6, im 12 and the fastest roller coaster ive ever been on was 70mph, i just dont have great roller coasters around me, but thats not the point, if i was that age and i was on that roller coaster, id be even worse.

@KejjeZuberbulor1 I live in Pittsburgh too, and Phantom is a favorite. It's even better during Fright Nights in September/October! I like to think it goes a bit faster at night due to the dew on the tracks, but that just may be my imagination :) The lift hill is agony but the 2nd drop more than makes up for it.

This ride is AWESOME! I rode it at least 7 times when I was there last and I got on the first ride for the public that day. :) It is the 12th fastest roller coaster in the world (it's tied with another ride) and it has the 8th biggest drop in the world. SO AWESOME!

This ride is so refreshing and fast...always a pleasure to get on...and there's never been more than a ten-minute wait for me!

One little tip: If you are riding the Phantom for the first time, and you are close to the minimum height requirement, BE CAREFUL! On my first ride on the Phantom years ago, I actually banged my head on the back of the seat over the bunny hops! My family literally heard it crack! That was pretty serious...I could have had a concussion!

i'm sure this is good, but couldn't they have kept the loops on the phantom, nd maybe just changed restraints? And if they wanted 2 change it so bad couldn't they just make it a high tech looper with lap bars?

@ChargersPictures My answer to that is that with new restraints, the ride would have been the same, just more dangerous in the long run. They don't put them over you for nothing. People CAN fall out.

And to make it high tech would have required changing a lot of the track anyways, old track like that can only do so much. And this ones more fun and family friendly! And the old Phantom wasn't raking in the crowds it once had.
