man 40k tourny's look fun as hell living around the south end of chicago there are no more small gaming stores any more to hold any and the local games workshop stores never seem to hold many tourny's the only one i have been in so far was the recent north american one. i do slightly envy the fact that you have these shops near you to compete in but it is also fun to see how they turn out in your vids. :)

Just me or is this girl not the best at playing her tyranids. I mean her troops and HQs are not what most avid tyranid players would use. Not trying to be sexist cause I thought the Warriors with butterfly wings was a great idea!! But from other nid players and me I would not use that type of army. Overall great batrep! I like the creativity on your tanks. Especially the the one with the huge wing emblem on top caught my eye ;D. Very nice!

In the Blood angel codex it says Brother corbulo is an elite choice not an HQ but you use them him as a HQ Please Explain

seeing that and looking at the new codex i think it would be a different story lol, also the fight wiv dante and the warriors nd hormagaunts u inflicted 4 wounds on the gaunts not the warriors so she shud have just roll armour saves for them and not the warriors as u placed ur attacks on them not the warriors...new nids codex is better than the old 1....u have to play new nids and see if you can take on the swarlord NASTY 4 dante but new BA in April bet your gonna rearange ur list

If it was hormagaunts... She'd need 4s to hit because they're WS 4 but the 5s to wound was right unless she took toxin sacs on the hormagaunts. But I'm sure that someone else has said that.

No, they will need 5 against Dante, as the Mask he is wearing reduces the BS and WS of all enemy models by 1 in a radius of 6 inches.

I know that. But that would only make their WS 3 vs Dante's 6. You need double opponent weapon skill +1 to need 5s so... Dante's WS needs to be 7. But it isn't. And besides you can give hormagaunts +1 weapon skill for the current codex for like... 2 or 3 points per model.

First off you should buy the codex for the army you want to start, along with the rulebook. That way, you can learn the general rules, as well as get the stats and rules specific to your army. Experience teaches pretty well too, so I suggest you try a few small games as well to test the rules you learned.

No way. I really only need him for rounds 2 and 3. After that he is expendible, which is why he dies. His chief value is in the psychological factor. He scares people. Having him on the table helps me control the game. Fritz calls it thinking in the 3rd dimention. He is right. I use Dante to control the table, deployment and game.

Dante is WS6, they are at negative 1 due to his Death Mask. I dont know what their base was, but before rolling I asked her what they needed to hit and she said 5. Perhaps they had a WS of 3 which went down to 2? That would mean they would need 5 for sure.

Chris, you telling me that Dante gives -1 Ws AND Bs just made my day! And btw, the Vet. Assault Squads in my setup... there are only two, and each costs 335 points. Getting a Meltagun squad and basically an Assault squad with each model having two attacks... I don't think it's that costly lol. I guess you're right.

Well, for 690 points you can buy 3 Baal Predators with Extra armork storm bolter and heavy bolter sponsons plus Dante's honor guard with jump packs, a power weapon and the Chapter Banner which gives Dante and the squad each an extra attack. SO, that is 3 tanks that can lay down 36 shots after moving 6" from behind cover, 12 of which are rending and 30 of which wound almost everything on 2 and 3. By the way, TL Assault Cannon is better then TL Lascannon vs every armor value except AV12.

AND you got Dante and his HG assaulting with 7 and 25 attacks, 5 of those are power weapon, I forgot to add the one power sword. They will hit on 3 vs almost every thing, reroll misses, and wound on 4. Put Corbulo behind them in a rhino and they wound on 3 and attack at initiative 5 or 6. Heh, let your Baals take care of the vehicles. Dante and his HG can do the work of 10 assault vets.

it was painful when she didnt know each losing fearless unit had to take 4 saves after already being massacred in general, but she seemed unphased like when her tyrant died early. she seemed happy just to play which is awesome
