Well....I knew that Linda wasn't too great at singing because a music/sound producer friend told me at concerts they would just remove her voice from the mix on the soundboard. He said Paul never mentioned it or inquired about it, but had to have known they were doing it, and had the good sense to not draw attention to it. He said Paul was always a real professional & nice guy to deal with and just enjoyed his wife around. Who can fault him for that.

This recording came from a former sound engineer under McCartney's employ who had had a beef with the musician and wanted to "expose" the truth, so he singled out her mic when taping this segment. I agree that this is a hoax. It was supposedly done by a radio station that tinkered with it to make it sound bad. All you have to do is listen to Ram to hear that Linda had a lovely albeit quirky voice. Linda had a nice voice,and combined with the way Paul did composed some of his 70's songs so that his and hers voices combined magically,I would only say that I like Linda's voice.it is obvious that in this perfomance she don't care that much of singing...Big Deal.

excuse me, but as a musician myself.....its the entire group that makes what is heard...we cover each others booboos to create a decent sound. No one is perfect, she was part of the sound that created what was heard. Notice when she was off-key she stopped. I don't think she was bad at all...

Way to take advantage of her. This is from 1968 (Hey Jude), so very early on. She actually later learned to sing quite well enough. Paul had an album put together of all her songs even.
Listen to the song "Love's Fully Glory". Her voice is actually very angelic there.

you gotta admit that Linda is better then yoko at being a person and a musician. Yoko is just questionable. Yoko seemed kinda like a "dragon lady" as some would put it. and she was also a terrible musician. the only reason producers let her in the recording studio was probably because John was with her. i could never see how or why john had fallen in love with her but he did. we all have different tastes.

uuh...hmm...well linda was the love of Paul's life. according to Paul, she was very supportive of him and his music career especially in his post-beatles career. listen to Maybe Im Amazed. McCartney wrote the song to show his appreciation for his wife for giving him the strength to work again after the beatles had broken up. we really can't judge Linda on her vocals by any means. she might have not been a musician but she was a brilliant photographer! paul loved her lots. we gotta respect that.

I'll never forget Paul launching into Rick Nelson’s Lonely Town at the end of the Tribute to Linda concert. They were in love and that's all they needed. Linda didn't need to sing. This widely circulated bootleg actually does Linda an injustice. I have raw video of Linda singing along with Paul live in a TV studio and a hotel room and she sings perfectly in key. She did backing harmonies on many Wings & Paul solo tracks and was in key. And that was LONG before autotune or pitch correction.

The true story about this is that it was recorded when she and the band were miming. Like a lot of people, rather than just mouth silently, she made these noises - it was rather sneakily recorded and circulated. Neither Paul nor her would claim that Linda was the greatest singer but his is just cruel bullying - and I speak as someone who can take or leave their music.
