I love the Smiths but the whole flower thing is really lame, and a bit too gay. It's cool just listening to the band while he's off stage. Marr and Rourke sound great.

It was the smiths PR person that gave out the flowers so I think Morrisey knew pretty well what to expext!Mind you I saw them at Preston first number (the queen is dead) he got an emty plastic goblet on the head and fucked off after 15 seconds.The rest of the band kept on playing till they realised he wasnt coming back. End of concert,riot.Big girls blouse!!

This is the show that Marr cites as the biggest embarrassment because of this incident. The band handles it pretty well though. As a fellow contact lens wearer, I can sympathize with Morrissey. Anything that hits my eyes can really irritate it. He probably had to rinse his eye or use drops. Things happen and incidents like these show that celebrities are human.
