Black Light Burns has to be one of the best bands ever. Their lyrics are so awesome in the fact that they can be deciphered in so many ways.

Personally, I'm a bit sick of hearing people comparing BLB to NIN. NIN are already established as a great band, BLB is lesser known but have loads of potential, and they both have their awesome and weak points.

I also see BLB as a rock band with industrial influences, whereas NIN is most definitely a strong example of industrial. You can't really compare bands from different genres, so why yap on about it?

Still, a great band. I hope to see a lot more of BLB in the future.

You can really feel the Reznor influence (Beyond the obvious connection)

On this one I think he coulda blown the hook way over the top... but it's a great first effort (as a "mainstream" rock band, not including Big Dumb Face (Which I thought was really amusing whist being more progressive). In either case it's a huge step up from "Flaccid Dinner Roll".

Borland has that Reznor flow going on this track, sounds Nine Inch Nails inspired (not that it's a bad thing).

If Borland starts a new project, he should focus on making a heavier product, this is good, but Borland's heavy riffs from Limp Bizkit were fucking badass.

Start a new project, get a bad ass lead vocalist, and focus on destroying the pussy rock we're suffering through right now.
