Umm ok here it goes; Yes your carbon fiber lip might not break, BUT it transfers the impact to the bumper and the rest of the front end. So you think your just testing your gay ass lip, im sorry "cool mod". When in actuality your ruining your bumper fitment and strength. Cudos to password:JDM, one company I will never do business with.

@DropDownLowrider yea... i was thinking the same thing - maybe the lip is strong - though he's not really hitting it THAT hard... but it'll cause damage further up the chain in a weaker part. That lip in my opinion should be the weakest part, as it's most likely going to cop it before the bumper above it, so it should be a cheap replaceable part. You could just make it out of thinner cf so it brakes first and save you the trouble of having to replace EVERYTHING

@BigMilanCarbon I think the point of this lip was for slammed cars. Bouncing off the ground your lip wont break, but if the impact is tuff enough to break the bumper the lip will be broken anyways so the high price was pointless.

@DropDownLowrider well perhaps if the bumper AND the point that It mounts to were all dry carbon, the impact would be spread out and lost... i dunno... i mean kudos for making such a nice part but... yea this isn't the way to test it - take it out the back to the alleyway, where it doesn't have it's friend the front bumper to take the beating in its place, and beat the SHIT out of it with a crowbar for real.

@DropDownLowrider but then again... when it's bolted onto another part, it would behave totally differently - especially something that long and thin - it would be twisting a lot off the car. But yea... this way just damages the other parts of the car instead... i dunno....

For the ppl that don't understand why he his beating the shit out of his product is because if you know what dry CF does you would totally understand. If I had a R35 and was looking for a lip. That would be it not because it's PW:JDM because it's dry CF. Therefore it is 5x stronger than steel and 2x more stiff. So I wouldn't have to worry about shit flying at my lip and damaging it when I am driving. LOL

Dry carbon is pretty dang strong so this isn't a stupid test at all. They make the part so it's not like they can't make another. This is a great example of how strong dry carbon is.
