I've been there several times and have loved it each time. I have taken the tour away from the main entrance, led by Park Rangers where there are no lights; you take flashlights. The tour is limited to a small group and you really get some fabulous experiences, such as a total darkness experience.
Cool! I own a copy of this program from Finley-Holiday films! Quite an educational and entertaining DVD! These guys know how to film a great travel video!
When I went, the cave seemed very cool and moist, even though it was summer.

@albrechtbb1, I envy you... I've been to the caverns many times, but the private tours, esp. to Lechugia caves is something I covet! ;)

i live about 45 minutes from it, if you ever can, go on a private guided tour, through the off path stuff....you wont regret it. i promise.
