you can't blame the fishermen for what they're doing. to them it's just a job. the people behind it are corporate companies, they invest billions of dollars because they think that's what consumers WANT. there is nothing with fishing, but OVERfishing is a problem. there aren't enough fishing quotas out there, and there aren't enough people making sure those quotas aren't being violated (which it is daily) in the industry. no one cares for rules as long as money's brought in. it's sad.

@123bathinapes I don't think shark fishing should be stopped, I think it's fine that people want to make shark fin soup. But I think this way of doing it is really, really wrong. All the other meat on the sharks (as far as I know) is really good quality as well, so they have no reason to not kill them and take it all, it's a waste. As well as, I think you're right; This is really cruel. It's like a real life Saw movie, and I'm ashamed of being human when we do things like this.
